Wasteland 2 first look video released, update

I agree. That being said, would I prefer a Fallout-style dialogue system? Yes. But this isn't a Fallout game, it's a Wasteland game. Overall, this game looks fantastic. It's seriously one of the only games I've been genuinely excited about in the last several years.

Fallout: New Vegas Launch Day Reviews

I find it amusing that things like this are now considered "HARDCORE".

    Couple Fallout: New Vegas previews

Jesus Christ. Also, RPG mechanics in an alleged RPG, whodathunkit.

    Pete Hines interview

Yeah, it sure does blow getting <strike>bankrolled</strike> compensated by a couple of large companies with deep pockets to work on two different RPG franchises (Fallout, Dungeon Siege), one of which is near and dear to their hearts. Edit: I'm sure they feel fortunate, BN. Which is why I...

    Dead State Revealed (ZRPG)

I'm pretty stoked about this. I'm not a hardcore zombie genre fan, but I like zombie movies and games in general. It does look a little like the Sims....

    Feargus Urquhart at QuakeCon

If you want to hear some really shitty, out of place battle music, play Sacred 2.

MCA and gameplay footage on G4 TV

I see what you guys mean about how the player appears to be skating across the ground while running diagonally. Christ, that looks terrible. I also really dig that music in the trailer. I still haven't played Fallout 3, but I thought I hated the music - but what I really hated was not so much...

Learn about the BoS in NV on GT TV on Friday

I agree. While I can't comment on FO3 as I still haven't played it, I don't find the water chip quest much more interesting than the "find the GECK" quest. Granted, the water chip was a more urgent need, but it was merely a starting point, just like the GECK. A sort of MacGuffin, even?

    Fallout: New Vegas previews

I've read this paragraph about 10 times now and I'm still not 100% sure what the author meant. Also, I have a headache now.

I believe the title of best Vault Boy pic belongs to the image I use as my avatar.

    Fallout: New Vegas E3 previews

It's not as if I really NEED to be able to kill children. I don't have some urge to kill children that I need to satisfy through games. It just bugs me that I can't, because I could in the original games. It gives the game much more of a wide-open feel where you can do damn near anything you...

Fallout: New Vegas unimpressive at E3 2010 Best Of lists

Comparisons to Fallout 3 aside, the NV demo was pretty boring. Gambling minigames and some mediocre combat don't really make for an exciting demo. Tactical? I guess it was tactical. You can attack from this direction, or that direction. I don't get The Old Republic, though. That trailer they...

IGN's Fallout: New Vegas Demo at E3

BUT E3 IS EXCITING BROTHER NONE! WE'RE TALKING ABOUT GODDAMN VIDEOS GAMES, AFTER ALL! Not the bulk of IGN's target audience, anyway.

    Fallout: New Vegas E3 previews

During this demo with JE Sawyer, he talks about how you can basically kill anyone (then quickly corrects himself when the interviewer brings up children). Fast forward to the 3:10 mark or so. http://gamevideos.1up.com/video/id/29981 Damn unkillable children. Is Obsidian bringing back groin...

    Inside the Vault: Scott Lawlor

I semi-raged at the VATS comment, then realized he was using "VATS" as a generic catch-all term for combat. I love that sound, incidentally. Most of my favorite Fallout sound effects are from combat, from the gunfire to the critical hit splatters and squishes.

Fallout: New Vegas Collector's Edition announced

It's quite common to leave developers' names off of cover art, isn't it?

Feargus Urquhart on the Fallout license

You must be confusing the publisher of Knights of the Old Republic with the developer of both KOTOR2 and Fallout: NV. I guess. Also, Rogue Squadron is the only LA game with any replayability? Really? And I don't see the link between replayability and originality/bugginess, except that if a...

Fallout Remastered OST available for free

Fuckin' awesome. Downloading now from the NMA mirror. Morgan's work on Fallout is just so damn good. I really hate the trend in video game music of unmemorable, vague "epic" orchestral scores that are forgotten mere minutes later. I could listen to stuff like the Fallout or Dune 2/2000 OST...

    Fallout: New Vegas PSM3 scans

Man, this is why I love this site. Only on NMA would someone complain about the spelling of "stimpak". Anyway, nice preview. I'm trying to keep my expectations low, but it's hard not to get hyped up over this game. Aside from VATS, I'm liking what I see so far.
