    Russian-Ukrainian war

Now that I think about it, I noticed some commentators downplaying the strategic value of Crimea by arguing that it is an economic liability. But surely it can't be that bad if Ukraine could handle it.

Ukrainian military is especially shit. Keep in mind Russian soldiers deployed there are probably specialists and Chechnya veterans.

Metal Gear Solid V: Ground Zeroes Huge Disappointment

Selling demos is appalling, but the design puts the rest of the AAA stealth genre to shame (not saying much). Big Boss having Solid Snake's voice was always pure fan service and never made much sense. David Hayter also kind of sucked after MGS2, but I guess the writing had been deteriorating...

    Th4if no more.

Yes and yes, respectively. I think Thief 2 is considered the most representative of the series' strengths, but Thief Gold has much more level variety (tomb raiding and horror, as well as ordinary burglary).

    Russian-Ukrainian war

It would be an economic and social disaster, rather like the break up of Yugoslavia.

    Russian-Ukrainian war

If Russia wants to make Crimea a client state I don't see what anyone can do. Even with international support, how would Ukraine fight both Russia and pro-Russian militants?

Thief was definitely much more focused on the adventure aspect of action-adventure than modern games, so it's not much of a challenge if you know where everything is. You needed to be stealthy so you could go unmolested while exploring. Of course, the video is a speedrun and not indicative of...

    Th4if no more.

In all three of the older games, anything that could be stood on could be climbed by jumping at it's edge and holding down the jump key. If you can only climb in key locations then you're bound to encounter objects you can't climb on or over that seem like you should. Apparently the new Thief...

This is like a Silent Storm reboot having the mechanical complexity of Jagged Alliance 1. Deadly Shadows had levels designed like real buildings and you could jump and mantle freely. How does a modern game with five years of development fail to improve on a console game made 2 generations ago?

Well that would be an awkward moment.

Does this mean that...[spoiler:3e24575b18]the Master and evil High Council are still alive or was that explained away?[/spoiler:3e24575b18]

    GTA Online

Looks like they've cut earnings across the board. $1000-3000 per mission really sucks, I'd actually have to farm to make a decent amount. They should instead just remove replay and limit how often you can request jobs.

    GTA Online

Doing this in the Violent Duct mission you get from Gerald is very efficient.

    GTA Online

If you don't mind grinding then you can replay short co-op missions by pressing right trigger instead of continue in the score screen. I just made $100 000 this way. Seems like cheating though, since you can't replay these missions normally.

Policeman shoots victim under dodgy circumstances

There's been multiple famous cases where someone's been shot for knocking on a door. This case seems less crazy to me since it was 2am and the officer thought he was rushing to someone's defence.

Splinter Cell multiplayer: what Aliens should have been

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=X8yhs9XF7eY&feature=c4-overview&list=UUJxEgnv6h70n2sdh3JyQnJQ It looks like they've gone back to Pandora Tomorrow style gameplay. I didn't get to play much of the PT/CT multiplayer at the time, but I loved how weighty the mercs felt. Also, designing the levels...
