Jagged Alliance: Kickstarter - ONLY 3 days left needs help:(

There are already three Silent Storm games. And it wasn't spectacular apart from the engine.

    Happy labour day.

Labor Day is the American equivalent to International Worker's Day (May 1). Some other countries also have their own Labour Day.

    Bombs over Boston

They tend to be full of innocent bystanders.

    Doctor Who

I was just relieved by the Doctor (or his companion's simple humanity!) not being so omnipresent. The previous episode had pretty much everything I hate about the new Doctor Who.

    Doctor Who

    Episode 3 is much better.

    Doctor Who

RTD wrote Midnight, which I think is much better than most of Moffat's good ones.

    What's a "human"?

Because I'm talking about a brain's parts being replaced gradually, as in you have a surgery that replaces one millionth of the part that creates consciousness and then you go on living normally for a while until the next surgery. At which point is the original "human" consciousness dead?

    What's a "human"?

What if the brain parts are replaced bit by bit by identical components, so the individual's perception of consciousness maintains continuity? What about resurrection? How do we know we haven't "died" and are living a new consciousness everytime we wake up? How do we know our consciousness isn't...

    Hugo Chavez

No it's not and I didn't say any of that. Only that equal amounts of corruption can produce very different results, so it doesn't necessarily say much if Venezuela has this level of corruption; you have to look at outcomes. Other countries have done far worse with much less corruption. In...

    Hugo Chavez

No, you can't criticise a government for lack of neutrality. That doesn't make sense. On corruption: cronyism isn't always so bad. You have to look at specific examples to judge the damage.

    Hugo Chavez

I don't think it's too hard to criticise IMF or World Bank on neutrality and objectivity.

Did anyone beat Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance?

Naked cartwheels and deflecting bullets with a sword was mgs2 gameplay. I think the term your looking for is understated, not serious. I think part of the appeal was taking on ridiculous enemies with a protaganist equipped with more conservative skills and gear.

    Hugo Chavez

He wasn't that bad as far as dictators go. Not great but we've seen much worse 5/10.

Did anyone beat Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance?

I only played the demo but it seemed pretty good. Will probably buy at some point.

The Ultimate Movie Thread of Ultimate Destiny

In case you didn't know, the creators of the series also directed the film City of God (much more recognised internationally).

    Pope Resigns, World Cares (Not)

Wasn't that what the last pope was doing? That guy that everyone loved?

    Doctor Who

I don't think people take issue with the monster design (this is Doctor Who we're talking about). More so the lazy storytelling, relying on poorly defined and ever changing rules of time. And the excessive melodrama.

    Trying to find Myth-like game

I don't think so. Anyway, it was only particularly irritating with the undead holding a Banner of Defiance (can't rout).

    Trying to find Myth-like game

It's a cool game and all, but does combat really have to take so long? Fighting a single unit of undead and I just left the room to type this because they just won't die.

    Trying to find Myth-like game

It's got to be Dark Omen. Thanks.
