    Space Marine/Warhammer 40k

There's an axe (or was it a hammer?) at the part where you get swarmed, partially obscured.

    Gun control thread #4387

Screw gun control, just legalise drugs. Reduce gun crime and government control at the same time.

The type of game you always wanted to play

A pokemon style game with choices and consequences and psychological.

Thoughts on Arcanum in 3-D FPS/Hybrid?

Like the original creators, for instance, who were the first to suggest such a thing. Bloodlines with hats.

    Amy Winehouse died.

You've actually said nothing in disguise of something. No one's obliged to sympathize with Myra Kraft or anyone; that's the point of empathy.

X-Com being made into an FPS (Again?)

It's a bit ridiculous comparing Jagged Alliance real-time with Commandos and X-Com. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=01e3bPLo3zE You can hardly call that mainstream pandering, it was just really mean of them to call it a remake.

General Gaming Megathread: What are you playing?

Just finished Silent Hill 2. When I heard about "sexual imagery" I didn't expect to see monsters being raped over the kitchen table.

    Yup, we are trully f***ed...

The issue is that AAA titles aren't particularly rewarded for depth by consumers, as with film. Sure they'll buy it, but it won't stop them buying something else that's completely shallow. The money doesn't care, so the producers don't care.

Unsurprisingly, Duke Nukem Forever reviews are negative

Not saying Halo's AI was clever, just there's a lot more happening there than most games. Not only AI, but the different animations for the enemies, like running with their hands in the air or getting pissed off.

Unsurprisingly, Duke Nukem Forever reviews are negative

Halo's AI wasn't too complex, but it had a handful of nice reactions to triggers i.e sticking grenades to them or killing their friends. They also used cover and dodged grenades/vehicles quite well. It didn't make the game particularly challenging, but it had a lot more personality than most...

New Skyrim's E3 demo looking quite...

The voice acting for the Oblivion demo was much better than the final product, among other things.

    Ratko Mladic arrested

It's funny how Serbia and Croatia hold on to their war criminals to play at opportune moments. The line between hero and criminal seems very thin in the Balkans, with mysteriously wealthy war heros and not-so-mysteriously wealthy politicians. Oh well, at least not every criminal benefitted...

    Max Payne 3

Full acting role through motion capture. I assume they're using it like in LA Noire.

    Max Payne 3

His face should be identical; they're using motion capture with the dude who provided his likeness for Max Payne 2, like I said. I wonder if he's also gained weight.

General Gaming Megathread: What are you playing?

Dammit Sigma 2, I like gore. Hopefully they won't do the same in the third.

    Max Payne 3

New info in Edge, the old voice actor is back and the game looks pretty noir. http://screenshots.teamxbox.com/gallery/2222/Max-Payne-3/p1/ No autoheal, but only three weapons at a time. You can't win them all, I guess. EDIT: Oh yeah, James McCaffrey is FULLY reprising his role. Looks...
