Most annoying Fallout 1/2 plot holes.....

Fair enough, but... have you ever made a character in FO2 that had, say, Big Guns, Energy Weapons and Science tagged? Well, me neither, but such a character still can be made. Now how could the primitive Arroyo folks who scorn technology have taught them that? I know, there are a lot of possible...

    Favourite pop-cultural reference?

FO1, the Hub, patrol guards on the entrance map: 'These aren't the droids we're looking for. Move along. Move along.'

    Fallout Haiku

Ah, let's do it again. Haven't posted here for quite a while. Davin likes brahmin He calls them his 'meat jerky' No pun intended Next? Well... how about: the Mordino boss getting owned with a bottle of Nuka-Cola.

San Francisco quest - Chip's spleen - need help

You can rescue Badger's girlfriend without even having taken the quest, and then [spoiler:b5e9e0b9b4]the Captain will be happy you helped one of his people and you'll get your oil tanker quests.[/spoiler:b5e9e0b9b4]

    Fallout 2 quest problems

About Mynoc: you need perception, at least 6, to notice his spear being sharper than yours. From the symptoms, it's got nothing to do with stats - after you've been to Klamath or Den and return, he'll dialogue changes into something like "Hey, Chosen, go ahead and save our village, now what're...

    Saving Private Dobbs

Oh, so that's really why you wanted to save him. To get his brain. He would've died anyway, eh? :P

    [FO2] Weird Non-Hostile Bug

Flagged as dead, from the symptoms. Not sure about the reason, though, nor about the ways to counteract this... we should ask Per. Hope he wanders here soon.

What are NPCs really good for?

Actually, they do suffer from side-effects of using drugs just like you do. Check out this little piece of info from the NPCs section of Per's guide: So, yeah, be careful with playing around with chems on NPCs ;)

    [FO1/2] Tools

A tool gives you +20% bonus to Repair when used, that's right, and a Super Tool Kit +40%, but you can scarcely repair anything with it and it weighs 10 lbs, so I'd eat it for breakfast instead - iron deficiency, yum. Anyway, a tool is well worth keeping, when you're getting through the...

    Girls and Fallout

I know one. She actually enjoyed FO but never quite got around to posting anywhere. Yeah, they do exist, what's the big deal with that ;)

    The Stables

Yeah, but the condition of arranging a date is that you've already been at the Stables and talked to M. Reed, so quite not it.

Can you finish the game without big guns or energy weapons?

Like Frank Horrigan. Unless you want to stay away and let the turrets take your fun.

Completing Fallout 2 without firing a shot

Slayer in itself guarantees crits with every unarmed punch or kick - it doesn't do the LK roll, it just sort of happens ;)

    The Talking Heads

Cover that part of screen while talking to them. Guess they don't appeal to you because they're not very well animated? For most FO fans they're some bright point of the game.

Finally playing Fallout1, got a few questions, will add more

And more sound files with their responses if they're talking heads, which adds even more flavour - try asking Set about some stuff.

Would the shotgun even be useful to me?

Or use a hunting rifle which improves your chances to hit. Or aim for other body parts - crippling a leg of a guy with a spear (Khans come to mind) is sometimes useful.

    Fallout US vs UK version?

Probably not, but there's a converter for the US version, as far as I remember.

Would the shotgun even be useful to me?

What about a shotgun being a ranged weapon? ;) It all depends on your skills, obviously. If your Unarmed is higher than Small Guns, go for HtH; if it's the other way around, stick to a Desert Eagle rather than a shotgun and later try and get a combat shotgun in the Hub. And I really...

    Fallout 1 question about poison

There isn't, nor there's any in Fallout 2. You can just check whether you're poisoned at all, and as you probably know that can be done on the character sheet. Or, for FO2, you could open your character with FALCHE.

    Fallout Haiku

You didn't follow the 5-7-5 rule, Bob. I might be smart now as I've learned it from my own mistake, but still you didn't. Teh glowing ghoul ones They glow n' glow like no one 'N they'll glow on, for one. Next: power armour, yeah!
