I think i seee something wrong about ammo mechanics.

Kind of makes sense though, right? I'm no ballistics specialist and inform me if I'm wrong and all that, but I would expect AP to not be efficient on weak enough defenses and lose effectiveness once it reaches a point in which the bullet is unable to penetrate anyways.

Why is Fallout 3 so loved ?

^ At that point, they would've cut off so many heads fire would literally have to be on the map they were using especially for a half-orc party since those never really use magic well letalone at all. That's part of what I like about RPGs. There's nothing more pleasing than solving a well...

Have you moved on from Fallout?

I sort of have? I mean, I still have a very significant interest in the games. I still play any one of the games often, but it didn't consume me like when I first discovered it. It hasn't had such a long term impact as Fire Emblem, DMC, or Evangelion, but altogether, I can't help myself but keep...

How come Enclave soldiers don't clad themselves in red, white, and blue?

Haha, FO3's spiky robot Enclave actually made the original look pretty realistic when directly compared.

    The Best Game Trailers

I remember seeing this and first thinking, "Oh god, not another DMC game. 2 was a nightmare." Maybe anticipating the worst helped me, but long before the trailer ended, I was for the first time ever, seriously hyped for a game. Didn't see the challenge coming, though.

    Funny movie quotes or dialog

Suddenly Zod says something out of nowhere in an illogically extreme action scene: - Zod: "There's only one way this ends, Kal! Either you die, or I die!" Golden.

Why is Fallout 3 so loved ?

Oh, of course, but the use of waypoints is far more justified in a big city-based sandbox than an open world RPG. Once things become convoluted enough, detailed visual instructions are a necessity, however a magic line is very different from a pathless arrow that points you to a cliff. Alongside...

Why is Fallout 3 so loved ?

I'd like to add on to that. Having a waypoint at all is a highly detrimental thing to the experience, especially in games with such big, open wildernesses and barrier-like mountains such as Oblivion, Skyrim, and FO3. Having a marker to follow dulls the senses. It's like if everyone drove around...

I think quest markers replaced that.

    Cazadors or Deathclaws?

That is, assuming you can actually hit them. The way they skitter around like a big blue hedgehog, how they zerg rush... VATS hardly works too, given how much more inaccurate it is in FNV. I mean, get a well placed shot and you win, but I've never been able to take on more than a couple without...

Are shots to testicles really funny?

So it's anabolic gamma steroids? ~Plaaagiaaarism!!~

Why is Fallout 3 so loved ?

Now, most of these points are true from a certain perspective, even if "good" and "solid" are giving it a bit too much credit, but the art design... kind of sucks. The game's sense of anatomy is horrifying. The Enclave look like Storm Troopers and so does the BoS. The exploration is okay, but...

Why is Fallout 3 so loved ?

It's a real shame none of these features were in the standard mode for either game. At least Hardcore made it into NV.

Is it wrong to compare Fallout 1+2 with 3 in terms of story?

"I've heard a lot about the fungus in your cavern and I'd like to make a deal." "Yeah, I'll bet you've heard a lot about the 'fungus in my cavern'. (immature chuckles)" Oohhh, so witty... Really, the closest thing FO3 had to witty dialogue was crappy (hyuk hyuk) toilet humor.

This is why I prefer New Vegas. Why or why dont you?

New Vegas' invisible walls themselves aren't really the problem, but rather how irritating they can be. On a couple occasions I walked along the top of steep cliffs and identified a perfectly good place to continue my path without dropping down and turning my pleasant hike into a chore, but ran...

    Ability to have more companions

AI? Changed? Ha! Tell that to Skyrim's fucking Metacritic score. Let's face it, anything that changes the structure of their engine beyond mundane numbers isn't going to happen.

    Rate the avatar above yours.

What? Would that be 10/10, 5/10, or 1/10 - 9/10? Anyway, 8/10. The visible stench kinda looks like an war bonnet if I squint at it and I like that. Also, seeing anthropomorphic cheese with what I believe is a mustache is equally amusing.

Why is Fallout 3 so loved ?

Well, hey, if developers can get away with forcing players to install their games on consoles, they can get away with forcing players to spend hours searching for and configuring mods to make a game remotely enjoyable, so they don't care.

    Ability to have more companions

This all needs to happen, but we should know that it probably isn't going to. As for the raised companion limit, it would be nice if that was linked to Charisma like in FO2. It would certainly make it much more useful.

Why is Fallout 3 so loved ?

Yes, that was my point on the macguffin side of things. As I previously stated, the Courier's brain remains important, even becomes more so in the latter half of OWB, much unlike the water chip, GECK, Pops, or the platinum chip outside of Mr. House's questline.
