    PSM3 Fallout 3 hands-on preview

You can be a self rightous fucktard all you want. It doesn't change the fact that even Fallout had it's flaws and internal inconsistancies. It's ok.. it's still a great game, I loved it. That being said, you make my point exactly. And fyi.. when I talked about the alien blaster, that was...

    PSM3 Fallout 3 hands-on preview

You know.. this is the petty shit that gets on my nerves. I was just playing Fallout 2 again the other night running around with the Star Trek Phasor. I have no problem with some wacky (unrealistic) weapons and easter eggs. They have already stated if I am not mistaken the the Fatman is an...

    Fallout 3 hands-on preview tidbits

Actually.. I always wondered why they would move to an oilrig in ocean off the coast... where china's warships probably were.. that and it was a hell of a way from washington. I mean I know they did it so they could fit it in the story with all the other west coast locations, but it really...

    Gameplanet.co.nz previews Fallout 3

At first I thought it was.. but the more I think about it, I like it. If you remember the arguement for turn based action rather than realtime (which I am still glad the direction they went), it was character skill over player skill. So rather than have the player "guess" how good the character...

    Strategy Informer preview

I don't know.. I am getting more excited.. It probably won't be perfect. But this kind of IS what I would have "dreamed" of as a Fallout game. I really liked the idea of the Fallout setting.. more than any mechanics.. so getting me experience closer to being the VD and less of controlling...

    One last bit from London

I am curious about "technically" how they are doing it, but it sounds from teh description similar to the Random encounters in fallout, though I would IMAGINE that it would make more sense to populate them in the map randomly when you start the game. It would be stupid if a diner was in a place...

Germans get new screenshots from Fallout 3

Just realized something.... Nevermind why they are in DC or anything.. But I was thinking about why the Super Mutants and Ghouls have been portayed as "monsters" in all the released material. I know it has been a long long time for most of you, but think back to when you played the fist...

    PC Gamer podcast, 360 article

Yes, except you're totally missing the point. I like audio books when making my 40 minute drive into the office. And podcasts are a great alternative to radio when you are working, driving as well. Why do some people have to be so ignorant?

    Fallout 3's "200 endings"

It certainly isn't as many as the previous games. However, the way he describes it makes it sound like they are animated, which certainly ups the effort of creating "variations". So while I wish there were more, I am hoping they are a little more fleshed out the Fallout1/2 ending "variations".

    VATS is not RTwP

Combat in fallout was entertaining, but mostly for me it was the death affects, playing with inventory and the fun of the setting.. attacking the slave traders headquarters against crazy odds, etc. It really wasn't the combat system itself. Compared to other tactical turn-based systems, it was a...

    VATS is not RTwP

Never really thought about it before.. but I don't think I have ever played a "Bullet time" game where I could queue up actions. Really the more I think about the combat system, the more I am looking forward to it. I have said before I loved Fallout, but as a tactical TB game, it sucked...

    Bethesda and PnP mechanics

No actually I was being quite serious. I think their arguements are pretty well thought out.

    Bethesda and PnP mechanics

Ok.. I am a sucker for punishment. I just had to come back and read the news. but I must say I am pleasantly suprised. Way to go xdarkyrex and Tyshalle, it's nice to see some rational arguements. I wish I had the fortitude (and time) to write the well reasoned multi-page rebuttles you guys...

    New Fallout 3 Screenshots

You know I think I just don't care about the rantings of the "hardcore" anymore. I am pretty excited to play Fallout 3. And all 50 of you "hardcore" fans, be my guest and don't buy it. The only reason I started posting here is because I felt that maybe a little sanity would be good for these...

    The Fatman

I still don't think we can dismiss the posibility that the weapon is an "easter egg" of sorts like the alien blaster. In that capacity as a jab at the 50's phenom of attaching nukes to everything, I think it's pretty funny. But hey.. that's just me. I don't think it's going to be something...

    Fallout 3 developers on Fallout

Everythings relative.. I stand by what I said... arming your neighboors is vastly "nicer" than gunning down vault dwellers.
