Fallout 4 does not make sense

Not so much with the skeletons but there was some issues like this even in the original fallouts in regards to trash/broken down stuff/ect. It wasn't common to find skeletons inside of inhabited buildings in a town. Not non-existent but not common. Some of that could have been due to graphical...

    Fallout 4 review roundup #2

http://www.escapistmagazine.com/videos/view/zero-punctuation/116433-Fallout-4-Review Yahtzee wasn't too keen on the game Also Fallout 4 now sits at 87 on PS4/Xbox1 though it's 84 on PC. Slant and Daily Dot both game the game a perfect score.

    Bethesda's Lore Recons

That isn't grass though, and a lot of it is pretty dead looking. Those are more than likely something like creosote or mesquite or one of the other types of desert shrubs. Odd they'd be in the capital wasteland but they look almost exactly like them. Mesquite beans can be fed to cows in times...

    Bethesda's Lore Recons

But you say here that the water is so irradiated you'd need a LARGE water purification system to purify semi large amounts of water. If the water is that irradiated they'd need a large purification system to be able to make enough water to trade AND purify it for their own use as well as stock...

So what lore has Bethesda done gone fucked up?

We aren't discussing random loot tables, there has been two instances of jet being mentioned within a pre-war settings. An old note and a terminal entry. Now IIRC there is a dialogue mistake in FO2 that contradicts something and avellone has stated it was a mistake. However this isn't followed...

    Bethesda's Lore Recons

I noticed you mentioned some of the towns may trade water in FO3, however as you also pointed there isn't the ability to gather and purify large amounts of water in FO3. There is no pulling water out of the ground or anything like that due to radiation. The towns need to have a reserve of water...

    Bethesda's Lore Recons

FO1 has the ability to actually use the excuse they aren't showing things because they aren't interesting. They'd actually describe something as a couple miles away and it'd be a single loading screen in one of the towns. FO3/4/NV is unfortunately a fully realized 3D game where you can view...

    A Boy and His Dog.

Full movie here. It's great because it's exactly what fallout was meant to be at it's core concept. A discussion of the morals and changes in society post apocalypse. Some action thrown in but the real meat of the movie is far more about discussing what is acceptable in that sort of world as...

So what lore has Bethesda done gone fucked up?

I feel a number of the complaints in here are being nitpicky about art / gameplay decisions rather than actual lore stuff that they retconned. Let's stick to the legit retcon stuff that is actually shown to be story related / lore related rather than complaining that radscorpians are tougher...

Why is Boston unhurt by the atomic bombs?

Honestly it personally bugged me that in 200 years since the bombs dropped so little reconstruction was done. Simple stuff like knocking out the remaining broken glass from windows in your town to prevent injuries makes sense. You can do decent repairs to buildings, move some of the trash out. I...

Wasn't AK like practically and occasionally literally unplayable at launch for many people?

First round of Fallout 4 Reviews

Agreed BUT so far I've heard the big bugs like save corruption / crash to desktop / locking out of quests are less common than first release day NV. Dumb that they still exist at all and people write em off none the less, if your game is crashing a console, not just PC, there is a problem you...

First round of Fallout 4 Reviews

The super fast feral ghouls are weird but what exactly was wrong with including Ghouls in FO3/4? I seriously don't know that deep about the lore. That said, I thought it was a lame cop out to include "Super Mutants" on the east coast. 80% of them were basically just giant orcs that barely...

Need some more examples before I call in the pitchforks, but that ain't good.\ Illegal? No. Scummy, very much. Often developers get called on this too, outside of Arkham though I can't think of any big AAA game that this has happened to. What is weirdest is that it's not like the game is...

First round of Fallout 4 Reviews

Not the comments on specific comments but rather this: "[...] the more zealous aspects of the Fallout audience is nonetheless vicious in its anger. At least, I think they’re fans. Some of them aren’t. Some of them just hate Bethesda. Even yesterday, before the game was available, some...

First round of Fallout 4 Reviews

He has some fair points, but it'd be nice if he also did a followup showing people literally orgasming over the game with zero sort of reasoning. Saw a number people on steam giving it a thumbs up and saying it was a 10/10 with less than 2 hours playtime. Also weird shit like this: 1.3 hrs on...

Weapon degradation gave an additional reason to actually collect all the garbage you get on top of the modding of weapons. It made repair more useful as you noted, and it created a sense of survival. At bare minimum it should have been included in a hardcore mode.

Nobody said that. But it is a possibility that people aren't viewing the game as a 4/10 unplayable mess. Listen, I haven't played it personally. I think that the dialogue changes are terrible and I voiced tons of negative opinions about the early viewed stuff. I've shit on FO3 a ton. I think...

First round of Fallout 4 Reviews

Apparently there is something like 450,000 people playing on steam right now compared to the ~11,000 reviews on steam/metacritic. So yeah, could just be the vocal minority about negative views.
