    FIFE 2007.1 released

@monsharen ATM they are part of the mapobjects (sprites). There was a lighting-system planned, but due to a lack of programmers... well - it is all about people who write features like this for FIFE...

Shacknews interview on Fallout 3 with Pete Hines

@topic Well.. I got the message. He [Pete] and the whole Bethesda crew know Fallout. He even plays it on his Laptop. Everytime, everywhere. Did I miss something? I guess the amount of recurrences within this interview puzzled me a bit..

    FIFE question

Yep - Phoku has already converted all the FO-related charanimations into such xml-files via a phyton script. :) If you want to add an additional type of movement for your characters, you´ll have to write another <action></action> - sequence.

    FIFE question

It´s something similar - FIFE ues *.xml-files for controlling animations. Just have a look into content/gfx/critters - there you´ll find them. Animations then will be organised with something like that: <action id="0" direction="255"> <animation src="art/critters/nmwarraa.frm"/>...

    FIFE question

Yep - it is calculated by LUA - so it is ingame.. ;-) The combat simulator is a textbox within a scrollarea, the results are added by" widget.addRow(result)".

    FIFE question

Heh... 2 lines of basic say more than 1000 words.. :-) I´m no programmer, too. Allthough I try to get into C++ a bit to understand the first few lines of some parts of FIFE, I guess I won´t be able to commit even 2 lines of usable code.. *g* But having some knowledge about PHP, I was able...

    FIFE question

@Wild_qwerty To speak for the Zero-Projekt: It is already ready to create a game - as long as you don´t start with things, which aren´t ready in FIFE yet. A 'game' isn´t done over night - and the current features are well enough to implement gfx and scripts. I wrote an article on...

    Bit-Tech.net: Fallout should be remastered?

@Wild_qwerty Full ack. The highest priority for the community should be to not let FIFE die :)

    Bit-Tech.net: Fallout should be remastered?

I´d like to see a remastered FO 1 with an open engine (lets say FIFE *g*). Changes or improvements can then be made by the community itself. TASpring lead the way..

    FIFE question

Hi Mulligun :) No, you can´t play FO 1 or FO 2 with the current release of FIFE. The engine was never planned to create a game. The main goal of FIFE is to create a gameengine which can be used by modders and indypendent game creators to make their own (RPG) games. To answer your second...

    Project announcement: Zero-Projekt

New Pictures & new screencapture from Zero Sorry Demonslayer & Corpse - I was very busy in the last months. Please appologize for not answering your posts :? @Demonslayer No, Zero won´t have to do anything with Fallout 1 or 2 (or 3 .. ;-) ). That basically means, we don´t use any...

    Project announcement: Zero-Projekt

The armory of Zero-Projekt Again, we have a little update for you. To be honest, we had some delay with our last post about the story. (At least the problem was the translation ^^) So the following screenshots shows you the work of the last two weeks. Most of the weapons were created in this...

FIFE - open source RPG engine with Fallout support

Hi Demonslayer :) MvBarracuda already replied to your question, but here are some more details: Currently we (The Zero-Projekt Team) are using a default resolution (atm I chose 1024x768) where the gui is filling the lower space. All resolutions above the default leads to a "centered" gui...
