Skyrim was just meh for me. Sure, nice landscapes, but the lack of depth, lack of character specialization that actually mattered, the linearity, the fact that it was mostly just a god-simulator in which you could basically do everything, the bad writing, the uninspired quests, generic dungeons...

I think I'll be playing IV and V then. I'm not too worried about IV being the black sheep of the series. From what I've heard the fanbase is pretty conservative and don't like change. I'm not one of those people. :)

Can't say I care much about the whole Torment Codex thing. It doesn't change the fact that I'm still looking forward to playing the full version. Which takes forever, by the way. Getting in on some early access is tempting to say the least, but I don't like playing unfinished games. :(
