    Fallout: New Vegas perks list

Rad child looks to make playing survival mode alot easier. (getting irradiated causes regeneration of health) Laser commander will make for some real end game destruction (laser weapons +15 damage, +10% critical chance). May end up being a little overpowered, but that can be fun for a bit...

G4TV Fallout: New Vegas quest walkthrough

You are right that I don't recall wether big site/mag reviews mentioned the bugs, it has been a long time. But, I know I remember them giving Fallout 3 and Oblivion crazy high scores when there were many areas that have droped these games to a good but not great rating. Both had all time...

    Fallout: New Vegas perks list

Just read the article and wow, I really like it. When perks are adding to our ability to play a role in our RPG it gets my vote. Instead of just +2 X or 10% Y, having a sort of personality attached to it works well. I won't be spending perks on loot carrying ability but I'm glad the opion...

G4TV Fallout: New Vegas quest walkthrough

Wouldn't it be better if reviewers were just honest though? Instead ignoring bugs here b/c they ignored them there, why not quit ignoring flaws all together and give honest reviews? I won't mind if them mention bugs in New Vegas, but I did mind their not mentioning them in FO3 reviews and...

G4TV Fallout: New Vegas quest walkthrough

I'd imagine (and sincerly hope) that a cattle prod would still do fatigue damage to normal mode players, they just won't get fatigued from lack of sleep. Getting zapped by a cattle prod should drop both versions stamina until passing out....then as we've seen a few more smacks and our health...

G4TV Fallout: New Vegas quest walkthrough

Whatever the case, having ways to subdue an enemy with non-leathal force is always a good thing for an RPG. Let's just hope its used well (as in more ways than just collecting slaves).

G4TV Fallout: New Vegas quest walkthrough

Sweet. An interesting way to cause the KO.

Have They Fixed Damage Dealt by Guns?

That is music to my ears. Honestly, this single aspect will have a large impact on my enjoyment of the game. It won't make a bad game good, but lacking it could take away alot from a decent/good game. It should be just as easy as making all those wraiths and deamons immune to non-enchanted...

Fallout: New Vegas Gamefest Cam Footage

I have to think the number matters to a degree. There were only so many ever made (122 or whatever) and logically they would be spread throughout the entire nation. So having more than 1 or maybe 2 within walking distance of 1 city is excessive. I agree with the above comment that there...

G4TV Fallout: New Vegas quest walkthrough

True going after the son wasn't combat, but what about when they showed the player going up to the ranchers guard (who was holding a shotgun) and cattle prodded the crap out of him?

G4TV Fallout: New Vegas quest walkthrough

Seems like a fairly decent quest line. Of course, I do agree the conversation sounded terrible b/t the rancher and the potectron (plus the floating lady going by mid-conversation). But otherwise looked and sounded pretty decent. Seeing combat again: close distance, swing, swing, swing...

    Fallout: New Vegas miscellaneous round-up

You got me? But my last console was a GameCube, so Fallout won't be much an option on it. Now, were it possilbe to rent games for the PC, I'd probably take a weekend playing numerous different games that just aren't worth the $30-50 to me. Still they'll be in a bargin bin one day. (I'm always...

    Fallout: New Vegas miscellaneous round-up

Meh, 1st - I just suggested it souned like piracy, I didn't say certainly was. And 2nd - that's a terribly perverted christian quote that relativists grabbed to try to stop people from telling others not to do wrong (note: that quote is about not telling people they are damned to hell and about...

    Fallout: New Vegas miscellaneous round-up

This isn't some indirect way of saying, "I just pirate the game then pay them later if I decide they deserved it" is it? Cause that would be really lame reasoning, especially for someone going into graphic design and who could get screwed by such thinking for their whole career. On the...

    Fallout: New Vegas miscellaneous round-up

So it's entirely possible I've missed it, but have they released what the effects are in game as we ding 1st, 2nd, 3rd level on dehydration, hunger, radiation, crippled limbs? Also, are we certain the levels for crippling just denote # of crippled limbs? Could it not denote their level of...

    About gambling

Funny you say that. I'm probably thinking just the opposite. Unless you are sitting playing slots, there is some skill. Sure the house always wins, but a savy gambler can increase their chance of winning vs. the house from say 40% to 49%, which is an appreciable difference. And this is...

Huh, Las Vegas is a really huge city

Maybe someone can verify if I understand how it all went down: (Spoiler potential I suppose) [spoiler:d784a42687]American troops were winning a ground war with China and as the US soldiers were closing in on the Chinese capital the nukes started to fly. Looking so bleak, China launched on...

    Impressions thread for positive impressions

So I was just poking around and saw there was a positive review thread and decided to have a quick read. I've only read the first 2 and last 2 pages, but really 31 pages? Not reading all that. Anyway, of all the posts the very first just blew me away...with ignorance. Really, bashing...

Have They Fixed Damage Dealt by Guns?

Totally agree. Any piercing weapons should cause no damage to Power Armor (nor should it do anything to decent sized robots, unless they have exposed hoses/wires). A sledge hammer or large club should stun the enemy and perhaps do damage minus 10 or 15 points, so most hits do no damage, but no...

Vote for your top 5 changes from fallout 3 to new vegas

    1. Sure, that's fine, just not everywhere and at all times. The game should be fun, and those with the resources too will find their pleasure. 2. Sure that's fine, but don't reinvent Fallout around large scale encounters. 4. Yes, I agree. 5. Sure, quests of this sort can work. But with #3...
