    Fallout 3 at E3 - NYTimes

If 3 bricks on top of each other can be classified as 'Art', then any game can. I'd go further and state on top of the music/art elements counting as art (pictures are pictures, sound is sound - right?), gameplay itself is a valid art form imo - it's tangible and can produce as strong an...

    Superplay Fallout 3 preview

I guess in smaller closed settlements/communities (eg Shady Sands) properties wouldn't be in abundance. It's also probable that people would lay claim to whole areas of land and demand payment/tribute from dwellers. There's loan sharks, crime gangs and nefarious types in the setting already, why...

    Fallout 3 intro text

The original was far better and informative, don't like the new wording at all. Seems like it was written for the uneducated masses (oh wait!). The 'this is where you will die' line is also stupid, we know you go outside - it's pointless, FO's succinct 'Life in the vault is about change' line...

Unkillable Children and Can You Mod Them Out

It would be stupid if they didn't release a construction kit. The reason Morrowind/Oblivion are as big as they are today, is largely down to the modders - many console gamers have bought the PC version of said games just to get access to the fan content (which has massively improved both games)...

    Fallout 3 at E3 - Armchair Empire

Uh huh... *sigh* - Do they not even notice the contradictions? Got to love that the solution to everything in F3 seemingly involves blowing something up, or gunning someone down. I guess putting on some robes and bluffing past the mutants wouldn't be in line with Beth's FPS heritage...

Armageddon Empires released - Post-Apocalyptic TBS

Looks neat, the artwork reminds me a lot of Dune2's :) Update: I Forked out for it, it really is very nice (there's a new demo now as well, more turns and sped up dice rolls). There's loads of Fallout references in it, so far I have encountered an underground bunker called 'Vault 13'...

    Fallout 3 at E3 - G4TV interview

What Todd is doing is far worse, at least the Futurama clip makers use the original material unaltered - even if it is taken out of context and mashed up :)

    Fallout 3 at E3 - Infuze

God this is an awful preview, doesn't he proof read? Typical bullshit hype as well, nice to know the nuclear explosion looks realistic. I was just so worried about that not looking right. Since when has perspective affected the story? Immersiveness, possibly - but story? Get out. F3 is FPV...

    Fallout 3 at E3 - GAF

Gah, yet another 'it's semi turn-based' comment. Haven't these people ever played a bloody board game? They wouldn't know turn-based if it hit them in the face. RTWP != Turnbased. I think we should start a charitable collection to buy these guys a clue. /throws in 10 bottlecaps.

    IGN interviews Emil Pagliarulo

Gah, hate defending Beth but.. Oblivon did have a massive amount of landmass outside of the invisible border, you can walk for literally hours in any given direction before the worldspace runs out and you meet water or fall off the mesh. Nearly all of Cyrodil (the main TES continent) is height...

    Fallout 3 at E3 - RPGamer

'Typical RPG'!! - Has this guy even played an RPG, let alone Fallout? Grey_Ghost, I wouldn't moan about the calibre, in the originals you could blow holes in people with a BB gun :P

    Hi-res Fallout 3 screenshots

I must admit I am warming to the level design somewhat. The scrap town (one with the cowboy) looks quite nice imo, this doesn't redeem or make up for the gameplay though. The baggy vault suits still wind me up. Was Vault 101's 'experiment' that they would all be issued oversized jumpsuits...

    Fallout 3 at E3 - The Escapist

Making a game takes an awful lot of time, needs a lot of management and telented people able to commit. It's hard enough to do simple mods these days. A stat I saw a while back estimated that only about 10% of mods ever get to a releasable state. For full fan made games that figure would be...

    IGN interviews Emil Pagliarulo

Sounds like the party/karma system is inspired by BG, with you being able to form good and evil parties. Sounds good. The load time thing has me thinking this means they are using smaller world spaces, could be wrong, but I can't see them reworking gamebyro just for that. Well I'd be...

    Fallout 3 at E3 - The Escapist

This is about as weak an editorial as you can get, sad to see the Escapist sink to such lows. After their fringe group's article I had hoped they would at least try and be neutral about F3, oh well.

    Fallout 3 at E3 - NeoGAF Q&A

Wrong! - I strongly suggest you read the article here on the development of Fallout. Regarding turnbased: On VB, what Per said. Regarding popularity, if Baldur's Gate (about as generic fantasy as you can get) can be held in high esteem by many today, I am quite sure the same game with...
