It requires a Dx10 VGA. Yeah, right... Keep your crappy shooter mister vendor!

If HL is fast, then I'll eat my foot. :proceeds to eat own foot: No. HL is not fast.

Fallout: New Vegas hits preorder charts, F3 DLC sales

Yeah, probably. Funny thing is I thought of this concept while playing Oblivion, even before the point I realized where a complete pile of crap it is.

Fallout: New Vegas hits preorder charts, F3 DLC sales

Because before Fallout 4 we'll still have Elder Scrolls 5 and possibly Elder Scrolls MMO. Prediction time! I predict Elder Scrolls 5 to be a single city action-mess with the RAI taken to the "next level", which will basically mean that the inside of the houses will be the same level (no...

Urquhart Inside the Vault, MCA Outside It

People rarely do iron man games. I, for one, only did a few. So if you break a leg, you just reload. And to be honest, this behavior should be taken into account when designing games...

Urquhart Inside the Vault, MCA Outside It

You need to use the doc skill to diagnose him, but you can just give him rad-x, I think. It's the same thing with the sick guy in shady sands. I think. I rarerely ever use the doc skill (or the first aid skill, for that matter) in any of the games. And what I mean is, very few of my...

Danish... :EDIT: Also, about the Escapist. I used to read it, but about the time they got their new layout Escapist 2.0 or some tripe like that, it got desperately dumb. I don't know what happened.

J.E. Sawyer on key dialogue writing concepts

From what I can understand, they are reasonably good. The problem is Bethesda records only their first attempt at reading the lines, and they don't give them the scripts before they enter the booth...

J.E. Sawyer on key dialogue writing concepts

Yeah, even the music and some textures. It's a very obvious oblivion 2. When I was playing Fallout 3, I actually started wanted to retry Oblivion, but I couldn't find the DVD and I was too lazy to pirate it somewhere. Later I found the DVD, and I didn't want to play it anymore. Thank god too...

Urquhart Inside the Vault, MCA Outside It

This kind of interviews makes me wonder why people actually care about them. This one in particular is a very simple case of one of two things: either he's saying what he's saying because of his professional interests, or his learning process as a designer is so drastic, that there's little...

J.E. Sawyer on key dialogue writing concepts

Isn't there a voice volume slider in the options menu in most games? I think I recall FOE having it.

    Fallout: New Vegas screenshots

Where has this guy been living all this time? It's well known that Fallout's setting is based on the fifties' science fiction. As such, modern weaponry is totally out of place. Along with many other things that may and may not have been included in both of the Fallout games.

    PA-RPG Tech Demo Release

I didn't say anything on the contrary now, did I? Now matter how many times I see this happen, I'm still surprised that people can't understand how "boobs and actions" can be prejudicial to any game, even though the game may take benefit from them. In Vampire's case, it's the pure and simple...

    PA-RPG Tech Demo Release

I can, actually. The publishing industry killed any company that did not have at least something in their games to aim for kids (in Vampire's case it was boobs and action and graphics) and Troika killed themselves by complying to those rules. That, and a load of other things, but in my view...

Fallout: New Vegas Ask a Dev

I don't think the need for drinking and eating has anything to do with realism. I think it's meant as a purely fun-based mechanic for the people who like it. After all, Fallout 3 was one of the most unrealistic games every made. Ever. Like. Ever. And I can't see how FONV will be any...

J.E. Sawyer on key dialogue writing concepts

Specially when, as in Fallout 3's case, the said actors are reading the lines for the first time as they are recording. And it's not like the voice actors in FOE are bad. They are clearly talented and professional, it's obvious, but it kills it that they don't have much booth time...

NCR Ranger Armor and Pelit scans

Yeah, it's green and has a tinted visor. You can't get cooler than that. IIRC, FOE had the Talon Squad armor, but it wasn't as cool.
