Bethesda E3 Showcase Tonight, Stream Links

I kinda found the more interactive pipboy rather cute, if a bit pointless, but hey, i like the idea of it and will play with it. The world building is also cool, and find that really fun -- maybe different for a Fallout game, but hey, I like builders too. Thing is, 200 years into the future...

Sooo... so far my biggest gripes with this are. Brotherhood is back... again. Super Mutants exist when they really shouldn't. No skills. (possibly, but looking REALLY likely) Well. Fuck.

Bethesda E3 Showcase Tonight, Stream Links

Finally seen the demo. Or... most of it? I didn't see things that people are talking about here, like crafting, town building, BoS, jetpack power armor, etc. The dialogue really doesn't bother me, and short of being spoken after selecting a choice, this really isn't much like Mass Effect. More...

I really hope I can't beat up Super Mutants with my fists at level 1.

Bethesda E3 Showcase Tonight, Stream Links

I may have to see it in practice, but that doesn't entirely sound like Mass Effect. In that game the option on the left typically acted like inconsequential more information, top right paragon or positive response, middle right neutral, bottom right renegade or negative. This formulaic or just...

I still haven't seen it but how similar are we talking?

I'll check it out when someone posts it, but I quite like Mass Effect, myself.

Wait, they're still going? Thought it would have been over by the time I woke up.

    Chris Avellone leaves Obsidian

Mobile market is kinda iffy, really. Practices there seem to have different rules in gaming. As for Diablo, I don't know really. I just seen my sister and her boyfriend play it a few times. Think it's dungeon crawler?

I've looked those up but still, I feel this type of stuff should be done vanilla.

Gameplay, no. Lore, yes and no. New Vegas is better for that there than 3. Still, I wasn't arguing if they're "true sequels" or not, I'm talking popularity. From a business standpoint, the more sales, the more money the company makes, and the more money it makes, the more "it works out well."...

It did, actually. Fallout 3 is extremely popular despite older fan opinion. A shift in gameplay style can make a huge difference Fallout 3 has a lot of problems but none of them are its choice of being in third person and real time. Most are writing issues and bugs.

Fallout 4 announced with official trailer

Internet's incredible, isn't it? Two people can post at the exact same time. Take ours, for example, "Today, 08:49 PM." Incredible. Regardless, I get that. Hell, I was like you, had the same opinion. Introduced to Fallout by 3. New Vegas interested me a lot less, namely for the "desert...

You said this multiple times in this thread. I'll bite and ask why.

Fallout 4 announced with official trailer

Stupid characters tend to have something else to substitute for their lack of intelligence. Typically muscles, but in Fallout they can also run like Forest Gump, have the dumb luck aspect, incredible endurance, spot things a mile away. People can also see that. And besides, in old Fallout...

Fallout 4 announced with official trailer

So if ant lady and robot guy had an explanation they'd be more acceptable? I don't re remember if they did, I kinda skipped them on my latest playthrough

Fallout 4 announced with official trailer

For me it's building up on the previous lore, building new lore of its own without messing up previous lore (Brotherhood of Fallout 3 pain , interesting characters, variety of voice actors (hearing every old ma with the same voice is terrible), sensibility (as in, no accents when they don't...

Fallout 4 announced with official trailer

On a positive note, I did kinda like the guys on the radio talking about the bombs dropping as well as the news about Vault-Tec's expanded business.

Fallout 4 announced with official trailer

Out of curiosity, where does something like Liberty Prime fit in with this type of thing? I imagine most disliked it here, understandably. I disliked a lot of Fallout 3 after playing the original series (used to love it, but after seeing what's wrong for myself, yeah.) What's odd is that I used...

Fallout 4 announced with official trailer

You know, when I watched this trailer, a part of me wasn't even really seeing Fallout 3. Something else, like it'd have similarities, but there's a touch of something different there. Odd. I guess I'm expecting this to be the Bioshock Infinity of Fallout... though I guess 3 could be that to...
