More of my dollars disappear via Kickstarter. This year has been expensive for me buying games that aren't even made yet.

Why all the hate for GFWL? I've never used it so I honestly don't know.

Picked it up and am enjoying it. I played "Lands of Lore" back in high school and this is a lot like that (minus Jean Luc Picard).

Not a LL fan but if we get another Space Quest through kickstarter I may have a stroke.

I'm not a fan of Larry so I'm not overly interested in this but I agree with BN here... not sure why he needs all the $$ to do this (or why we'd want it). I think the fans would probably want a new game that didn't suck. I'd love to see a new Space Quest done through kickstarter.

The 1.05 patch looks promising and the new "character / coa editor" DLC looks neat too. It's all I've been playing. Easily the best PI game on release and probably the best strategy game that'll ship this year.

I hate the fact that the games I played when I was young are now called "retro". Makes me feel OLD.

Not sure... I know he said he'd front the $$ but I don't know if anything came of that. I was just using it as a piece of good news we've had lately :). I guess I'm just overly cautious in general and get nervous when things seem to be going "too well" :).

Anybody else waiting for something terrible to happen? It seems like so much good news: - Notch saying he'd fun Psychonauts 2 - DF making a new adventure game - Wasteland 2 being made by Fargo I tend to get nervous when so much good stuff happens... like the universe is going to balance...

I've tried to finish AC1 about 4 times (across 2 consoles) and never managed to get through it... having to sit on a bench over and over to get clues, then pick pocket, then do some other task again and again just killed it for me. Batman Arkham City / Asylum did the "scale walls and own...

I bought this and I must say: WOW. I didn't play CK1 (CK and Vicky are the only two Paradox games I didn't play) but I'm having a blast with CK2. If anybody remotely enjoys grand strategy with some politics mixed in, pick this game up!

As discussed elsewhere, I don't think that Kickstarter will really put a dent in the current developer/publisher model. Sure, it'll lead to games such as Double Fine Adventure and Wasteland 2 (games that probably wouldn't be made otherwise) but huge AAA Modern Warfare style games aren't going...

Demons Souls had some of the most interesting and unique multiplayer bits so if they decide to model some of that I think it'll work out well.
