If there's one thing that throws me off a bit, it's the size of some of the weapons. But that's not really a big deal. The graphics are fine as far as I am concerned, as I only like/need great graphics in 'realistic' shooters (or at least ones that attempt to be).

Well, I only really like to buy big name games from Valve on Steam, not so much other games that I can get retail. It will be a bit annoying for some though.

Usually there is an option to erase targeting data, but I thought that it just causes it to go berserk and target everyone.

I buy Valve games through steam, although I did buy HL2 on DVD. I trust Valve to support and update their own games.

I played Vice City and San Andreas with both K&M and a gamepad for PC. Both work fine for me, though driving is better with a gamepad, and shooting was SO much easier with K&M.

I am running XP Pro x64. There are only a few games with special DX10 modes (and Crysis can be made to look almost as good in DX9 with tweaks). Plus, all the Fallout games run fine on it, as do Infinity Engine games.

I agree on upgrading the RAM. Games of the last 3 years can appreciate 2GB. The 8800GT is indeed a great choice.

Well the textures being like that is most likely because it is a multi-platform title that they wanted to get to work on different hardware at playable framerates. I'm getting 60fps locked indoors, and 25fps-60fps outside on my PC at 1080p.
