    9. I like the Wasteland reference. How about mine? It took me awhile to find a good one, but I think it was worth it.

    Jesus didn't go to school

I'm not a big fan of the school system myself, but the fact is these people are exceptions to the rule. For every Einstein, Edison, and Tarantino, there are about a thousand dropouts and underachievers who are criminals and morons. There are also many college graduates who move back in with...

    Jesus didn't go to school

Jesus didn't go to school because he was a carpenter. Back in his time, people didn't go to formal "schools", they learned trades from their relatives and townsmen. There's nothing wrong with being self taught and a loner. To truly be a loner, though, you can't take any stock in what...

The BEST Fallout 3 Random Encounter Ever.

How about a hairy deathclaw from Fallout: Brotherhood of Steel? It could join your party, but sucks really bad and dies immediately if it gets hit.

The BEST Fallout 3 Random Encounter Ever.

Actually, I hope the sequel takes place somewhere other than California. So the Chosen One and Vault Dweller wouldn't have that much (if any) effect on the history of the environment. But as a random encounter, like finding Dogmeat in the Cafe of Broken Dreams in FO2, some kind of nod to them...

The BEST Fallout 3 Random Encounter Ever.

^ I like that one. But how old can Dogmeat get? Dogs live like, what, ten, fourteen years? Not to be overly realistic or anything, it's just a little much. How about a grave of the Vault Dweller/Chosen One?

    Favourite Fallout Location

Junktown in Fallout 1. Reminds me of the Road Warrior quite a bit. Not much to do there except kill Gizmo and Killian, but the town itself is really cool.

Yeah, Blade Runner's great. Too bad I can only find two discs for it now

    UFO Extraterrestrials

That looks like it could be pretty good. The fact they have ED-209 from RoboCop in it http://www.ufo-extraterrestrials.com/UFO_ET_desert_base.html has me especially intrigued.

Location based death animations/real time rendered injuries

One of the main things to consider is whether (even if it goes FP) it will remain turn-based and dice based. If you think it will use the new Elder Scrolls engine (which it probably will), that's real time, but still die based. In Morrowind if you hit a creature with an arrow, some of the...

Hollywood vs Silicon Valley (Copyright vs File sharing)

I don't think it's right that people download entire albums/games/movies/programs, etc. for free. Artists and companies put alot of time, effort and creativity into making products, and stealing them outright is just wrong. On the other hand, P2P sharing is great for other things, like...

    Ghouls: Good or bad?

Can we stop with the quote-on-quote action now?

    Ghouls: Good or bad?

Ghouls aren't good or bad as a whole, I guess. When you first go to Necropolis, some attack you for no reason, some just ignore you, and some are rather friendly towards you (the ghoul in the sewer, Harold). You could either look at this two ways: First, ghouls are like people: some are...

Location based death animations/real time rendered injuries

Yes, it's possible, but it relies on as-of-yet unknown factors like what sort of graphics, physics engine, and game system Bethesda decides to use. I actually posted an almost identical thread on the old Interplay boards after I played the original Soldier of Fortune, and if I remember...

I've come to the conclusion that I'm indestructible

Yes, that's exactly what I wanted. I just said otherwise twice in the thread to waste my time. I learned from both of the instances that were because of my stupidity: The alcohol related coma made me learn how not to overdo drinking, and the drug related coma got me off drugs for good.

    Blasphemous Talk. (Halo 2)

So, I go online today and get this message from Steam: It seems like they're having problems there as well, and are being just as vauge about the solution as Bungie/Microsoft.

How are you in matters of love?

That's true. Most girls go for the selfish abusive bastard over the nice, romantic guy.
