Rumors on the Game Informer article

Or they could be doing it on 4 and 5. 4 levels per perk normally which will give you 5 perks or 5 levels per perk with skilled ticked, 4 perks.

Rumors on the Game Informer article

Real-Time with a pause button? No thanks. Half-Assing it either way only leads to problems and frustration. I think perhaps Bethesda are missing the point, how much Quake I've played shouldn't give me an advantage, kind of defeats the object of using S.P.E.C.I.A.L. in the first place.

    Fallout 3 Trailer

What are you guys relieved at? That they lifted the original Fallout's intro sequence almost verbatim? In fact I'd be surprised if Bethesda didn't use Ron Pearlman or the Ink Spots, or any other Easter eggs that have become associated with the Fallout brand; they're the easy things to...

Send them in! Upcoming FIFE graphics contest.

We've been discussing scripting quite a lot over the last few days and one things clear: It's a big job. Since none of us are really experienced in making scripting engines it's going to take that much longer, we could really do with someone who knows what they're doing :)

    Van Buren tech demo

What? You didn't have normal/parrallax mapping back in the good old days? (circa 2003).

Fallout Developers Profile - Tim Hume

This "profile" reads more like a technical report, detailing bug-fixes and other modifications he had to make for the higher-ups. Are you sure he didn't just copy and paste one of his old technical reports?

Voice acting - Liam Neeson has lead role in Fallout 3

They'd have to be mad not to get Perlman

    Van Buren tech demo

I doubt we'll ever get the source code, NMA would get raped for posting it up.

    FIFE 2007.1 released

I'm a programmer who might be interested in working on a map-editor for you during the summer months. I'm currently completing BSc programming course at university so I won't be available until after that is done. I'll give you a bell when I'm free and see if you're interested. I have quite a...

    RPGCodex's Feargus Urquhart interview

Funny Fergus is getting snuggly with Fallout now; he's had opportunities to attempt to create a game in Fallout's mold but showed no real interest in doing that. You know you can say all you want about the realities of the games industry today and about how companies for forced to bow to company...

Fallout 3 in May Issue of PC Zone UK

Looks like Pete is trying to apply the verbal lube so-to-speak. At-least when Bethesda do finally put it in we'll have to go "well, he did warn us we might not like being shafted!", just so-happens the people who don't are the fans of the series. Well, it's pushing onwards and upwards for...

    Bioshock tidbits

I think he just means you don't have to listen to all the audio-logs and things. Like in System Shock II you could skip most of the story by not doing that, though a few did contain important information.

S.T.A.L.K.E.R. interview with CVG and GameSpot

I've heard good things about this game. The only thing that damages it slightly are the bugs, of which there are a fair few. However, I can live with bugs and hopefully a patch or two will fix most of them. The gameplay is meant to be very good.

Mad Max 4 possible and PA RTS SunAge coming soon!

Ron Perlman's involvement would make me salivate a bit given the Fallout connection, but he looks and acts nothing like Mad Max, as a supporting actor he would rock though.

Fallout #5 on IGN's best PC games list

X-Com best PC Game ever? Now there's a surprise. Not that X-Com: UFO Defense isn't a good game (definitely not the best) but I didn't expect IGN to give it such an accolade.

GDC panel; the viability of PC gaming

The Wii is the king of the time-wasters no doubt, but as far as anything deeper? I'm not sure. The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess came out but was essentially a re-hash of Orcarina of time. I haven't seen any innovation at a level deeper than Wii sports. I couldn't even imagine something as...
