It all comes tumbling down, tumbling down.

So then was I actually wrong with regards to Pokemon? Were people making actual demands to change the stick of truth from turned based? I actually asked those questions to get answers so I could be informed about it. So do you have the answers to them? For Pokemon, up until the 3Ds games I...

It all comes tumbling down, tumbling down.

But if that's the case, then that's something completely different than what Walpknut initially wrote. Maybe that's what he meant, but that's not exactly what he wrote. As for the market demands, yeah, that's the devs/publishers making those changes to the games/series based on what they...

It all comes tumbling down, tumbling down.

Can't say anything about Persona because I don't and haven't followed that at all. But as for Pokemon, I've not seen that at all. (Granted I haven't kept up with that since the 3DS came out, so maybe that has changed more) I think maybe I've seen people say that it might be cool to have a 3D...

Yes, a lot of people like action games, but are they actually making demands that games change into action games?

It all comes tumbling down, tumbling down.

Have they really? Because I'm not sure I've seen any demands like that before. Maybe I've seen people agree to or accept some of the changes after the fact, but I'm not sure I've seen people demand them beforehand. I find that gamers in particular don't care for too much change in any given...

    Bethesda's Lore Recons

Well you can probably take solace in that since Bethesda seems to have a dev cycle of a few years, and since they seem to be alternating between TES and Fallout, that it at least won't be a yearly thing. It might be closer to the 7-10 year mark, unless they grow their team and start working both...

Why do the Bobrov brothers have accents?

Yeah, most times whenever I see people talking/arguing about realism in video games it seems things always get talking to the extreme. Like sometimes when somebody argues in favor of something realistic or it being realistic, and then the other side will counter with "oh but there's space...

It all comes tumbling down, tumbling down.

I thought SaucyLad's argument was more since Metacritic is able to be easily influenced or messed with (and sure, it can be) that that led SaucyLad into not putting much or any stock into Metacritic. And not that it's for sure always manipulated for every game. Or that it's always going to be...

It all comes tumbling down, tumbling down.

As far as metacritic and like sites are concerned, while scores can be an indicator, I'd say it would be far better to check a lot of the reviews to see if there's some sort of general consensus about what people liked or hated about the game. And I'm not saying any of you guys here go off...

Bethesda is destroying the gay legacy of Fallout

But like I said even then it would still be possible, to varying degrees, and probably depending on the individual. (And of course that could be a huge stumbling block.) But a lot of times I see somebody make that kind of statement regarding a game, or story, or something along those lines...

Bethesda is destroying the gay legacy of Fallout

I'm sure I completely understand when people say something like this. Because surely you play other games with completely pre-made/predefined characters and are able to get into that role or it doesn't affect your ability to play the game if there are differences between you and the character...

Bethesda is destroying the gay legacy of Fallout

And I'm not arguing against that, I was just saying that the people saying that the character could only be bisexual and not gay, if somebody wanted to play that way, were not really right in that regard. Of course there's a pretty limited starting point for somebody wanting to play a gay...

Bethesda is destroying the gay legacy of Fallout

I'm just saying that people could still easily RP as gay and not bisexual if they wanted to, and have a somewhat real excuse for the spouse and kid. And yeah, it's obviously something that Bethesda didn't account for, but people RP stuff all the time that devs don't account for or make easy.

Bethesda is destroying the gay legacy of Fallout

Well it's not like gay people have never married somebody of the opposite sex before and had a kid, right? Of course I don't know how they treat that relationship after you get thawed, but it's not like somebody in that situation would automatically end up not caring about them just because.

    Yeah, that's something I didn't think about.

It all comes tumbling down, tumbling down.

Though as of right now it's 85/87/88 for PC/PlayStation/Xbox And looking at the metacritic page for Bethesda, it looks like Morrowind got similar scores with a difference of a few points or so. But Oblivion, Fallout 3, and Skyrim all got scores in the 90s, as far as the base games are...

    Well THIS is eerily prophetic...

It's really only a few instances you need to have beforehand knowledge about what quests to do before other. But yeah, it can end up locking you out of one or two factions if you don't know. It pretty much is meant to be played that way, at least in Morrowind, if somebody wants to play it that...

    Well THIS is eerily prophetic...

In Morrowind, you actually can do all he listed there. He, and I, listed you can only do one of the three Great Houses on a single character. I forgot about the vampires completely, but he said you can only do one. But you can do the vampire quests, (for whatever bloodline you were) and then...

    Well THIS is eerily prophetic...

And like I said, you can raise all of your skills up to the required level. It is absolutely possible to do in Morrowind. And again, as I've said, you may have difficulty (at least for a while) depending on what you chose as major/minor/misc skills.

    Well THIS is eerily prophetic...

Which is what I was basically saying. Yes, the "pre-game" is spent making your character and backstory and stats. But that's still part of the game and what you have to do at the start. Unless you're just going to draw from some pile of already made characters or have them assigned to you, or...
