Could be something like that. I don't use inner ear phones though and don't listen to music too loud. I guess i might try reversing some of the damage by turning everything down. Will be hard at first, but i assume one's ears get used to things being that quiet.

Probably on the scale of the current servers, but hell, I've seen my mate running a WoW private server with no trouble, and from my experiences of auto assault... No one plays it. Therefore, I'm sure a the small community that does indeed enjoy the community could get by on that sort of set up.
