I think the fact Fallout 1 and 2 are closely tied to the spirit of Wasteland is what helps. I was 11 when Fallout 1 came out, but in my teens i randomly kinda just bought Fallout 2 and fell in love with turn based CRPGs.

Might get a post-release one. Plus they haven't decided on the engine yet which apparently influences ease of moddability considerably.

Something similiar to Van Buren i imagine. Google isometric games, you'll sign a high range of visual fidelity in 2d/3d. Fallout Tactics was 2d sprites and looked lovely and a lot better than Fallout 1/2.

The joy of the funding model is anybody who donated 15 dollars plus, has there copy of the game secured. I imagine it should do reasonably well on Steam which will help fund Wasteland 3 or whatever they decide to do. There's no profit focused shareholder owned publisher to get in the way and...

Over $65,000 now. I gave my 15 dollars, might give more in future. Can't splash money all at the same time sadly but i'd like to get a boxed copy.

Dragon Age managed to let you pick the personality of your character, for instance you can be nice to the King, kinda indifferent or risk being just plain rude. Thoughout that first conversation you can shape you're character just through his attitude. Can't quite remember if New Vegas lets...

I'm sorry, i was referencing the Fallout 2 item. The point was New Vegas doesn't have anything like that. I mean for the players who haven't played the originals, there's really no proper exposition to tell them about the factions and if this stuff exists, but it's only in the collectors...
