The gyrocopter doesn't need fuel. Of course, in a zombie scenario, it might not be the best idea, since it doesn't really offer any protection while you're resting. edit: also, if you're fat, you should probably go for the camel instead.

I'd recommend those as well, since they're free, and are still great games. If you want one of the 3D games, I'd recommend Vice City. It's my favourite in the series, mainly due to the 80's setting and excellent soundtrack. I haven't played the latest one, though, so I can't comment on that.

I uninstalled both of those games after an hour or two of playing them. I liked Ceasar 3, but somehow I didn't like these games at all. I might give them another chance at some point, but I guess I'd rather give Imperium Romanum another chance than Rome 4.

In my experience you only really have a tight budget at the beginning of the game. Once you start capturing advanced alien artifacts, funding stops being a problem.
