Fallout: New Vegas OXM preview scans

So you're given a Vault jumpsuit to wear at the start of the game? I'd rather wear the rags I nearly died in. Going around in the jumpsuit is like wearing a Hawaian shirt and fannypack in Thailand.

The grenade launcher is a grenade launcher

Looks like a man portable Bofors. Not sure why we're critiquing a gun we've only seen from behind in a preview scan, though.

    J.E. Sawyer on guns

At least Rob is consistent: he shows as little understanding of human anatomy as he does the anatomy of a firearm!

    J.E. Sawyer on guns

I hope there's an option to drive a gold-painted Lamborghini through the Vegas strip while I duel wield P90s and crump it up in the back seat! Surely the private car collections are as relevant as what LEO/military groups have.

PSM praises writing of Fallout: New Vegas

There isn't enough space in prison for that many terrible writers. We'll have to find a city, cordon it off, and let them loose within. Like Escape from New York. Except New York is too good for them. So more like, Escape from Detroit.

    New Vegas details

Only thing that took me by surprise was the M4. It's a lot more clearly based on its real-world counterpart than the 'real' guns in FO3. Seems rather FO2-esque.

S.T.A.L.K.E.R.: Call of Pripyat released in the US today

I've got a feeling this all would have been handled more efficiently if GSC hadn't chosen a publisher with barely any track record.

S.T.A.L.K.E.R.: Call of Pripyat released in the US today

So what do they have to show for the months of localization? Does the Western release come with extra content or more bug fixes? Or should I expect a flawless translation that is beyond reproach? Yes, there is.

TES Fixer-Upper to Help Make F:NV

The frenulum piercings can turn one of sufficient hardness into a formidable weapon. Just don't wield it in conjunction with Bloody Mess.

TES Fixer-Upper to Help Make F:NV

Pfft, they should have picked up Timeslip or the Unofficial Oblivion/Morrowind/Fallout 3 patch teams! This is good enough, though. Just so long as they never hire AlienSlof.

Bethesda and Namco Partner to Distribute Fallout:New Vegas

I wonder if we'll get the typical Namco DLC treatment in some way.

Mark Morgan is not scoring Fallout: New Vegas

If there were a millionaire hidden among the NMA crowd, maybe one day he could secretly pay Mark Morgan to compose some new Fallout-y tracks that could then be modded intto Fallout 3/New Vegas!

Mark Morgan is not scoring Fallout: New Vegas

Can't wait to boot up New Vegas and hear "There ain't no rest for the wicked / Money don't grow on trees / I got bills to pay, I got mouths to feed / There ain't nothing in this world for free" playing over the intro reel.

    Bethesda's requested redacted statements revealed

Wait, what MMOG are they referring to? Probably was from Michael Kirkbride. To be fair, some reports have pegged him as being pretty difficult to work with (although he did bring a lot to the table for Morrowind). Now, if I recall, Ken Rolston who designed both Morrowind and Oblivion came...

Fallout 3 mods on the Xbox

No it won't, it only works on the 360 and only on units that can perform the JTAG hack. The effort required to obtain such a unit and carry out the hack is very restrictive.

    Postworld Mod for Crysis announced

Choosing an engine with such a high graphical standard is a very bad idea, but I salute the team nonetheless.

    News Summary for September

I've had a few fail. Both Starcraft AND Brood War, and a few discs from multi-disc sets... Mafia was one.

    News Summary for September

Western release hopefully won't use Starforce. It's a slim chance but I'm hoping for it. Also, as was mentioned, the Starforce drivers aren't compatible with Windows 7.

    News Summary for September

Like I said, the only one that translates quests, dialogue, everything outside of the interface was done with a machine, so it's not exactly the most enjoyable experience.
