    Music mod questions

I wouldn't like his music to change. I would however like to add music to his playlist. Louis Armstrong, Frank Sinatra, some more Ella Fitzgerald, some more Billie Holiday, etc.

    Vulnerable Children Mod!!!

Everything special like that though is handled as a Perk in Fallout 3. They don't have a way to differentiate from achievements. It can be added as a perk the second you kill more than 1 child. In Fallout 1 and 2, IIRC you had to kill 2 children before being labelled a child killer...

    Impressions thread for positive impressions

I gotta say, I was shocked when I read all the posts here from people hating on Fallout 3. I love it. I think it's an unbelievably amazing game. I played Fallout 1 and 2 extensively. I think I've beaten at least a dozen times. Probably more. I play Fallout 1 and 2 like I played Master...

    Combat Shotgun Vats issues?

From any kind of distance, you have to aim at the body or most of the shot will miss entirely even on a direct "hit".

    Fast travel/Random encounter revamp...

It would not just be a check for the entire trip, it would be a check at certain locations along the way. I personally like the idea of prompting the person with the encounter if they succeed in the check asking if they want to check it out anyway.

    Fast travel/Random encounter revamp...

Have it go off of sneak skill. That IMO makes sense since the idea is that the folks are there but you'd have to sneak to prevent an encounter. Also, it shouldn't just be distance. There should be areas of different "difficulty" with respect to likelihood of an encounter. For example...

    Radio Station Fix Mod...

They can't do that without disabling mics. Just take a wire with 2 male earphone jacks. Plug one end into the earphone jack and the other into the mic jack. The machine won't know the difference between that and an actual mic. Basically everything pumped into the earphone jack will go...

Anyone else find computer hacking depressing?

I never knew about those "retry" bonus thingies. I just noticed that the "harder" the terminal, the more letters in the word. Ironically, it is far easier to match a large word than a small one most of the time. Having higher skill results in fewer actual words appearing on the screen...

    Better Power Armor

The slight lag happens with MODERN exoskeletons. With power armor made in 2077, there would not only not be any lag; it would probably react FASTER than your body would.

    Dukov's *Itches *minor spoiler*

I told one of the chicks I'd bring her to Rivet City, but then I left her there. I wonder if I can bring her to my Tenpenny Tower condo and leave her there instead like I did with Dogmeat.

    Fallout 3 Realism Overhaul

I wanna know how come I gain any radiation when chowing down on people I've killed. One of the benefits of Cannibalism should be a zero radiation health source. Sure, 2 rads isn't very much, but it adds up quick.

    the lab

They did it because in Fallout 3, unfortunately damage is damage. There aren't different types of damage. Thus, there is no way of making an armor that adds energy protection. One of the first mods that needs to be done is to add damage types IMO. Another mod needs to add damage thresholds.

    Oblivion Traces in Fallout3

Age seems to be a property or attribute if you will. However the way it is implemented could be an extension of an abstract class. That is to say, there is an abstract class of "character" and one extension of that class is human which is also an abstract class. Human then has 4 classes...

The brother hood of Steel in FO3

The Outcasts, true to the original BoS from Fallout 1, are xenophobes and asshats. As such, even if you come to them wearing more advanced power armor than theirs and wield alien technology, they still ask "shouldn't you be banging rocks together?" So no, you can't join them. All you can do...

    Oblivion Traces in Fallout3

Actually there is a special child "class" if you will. Characters have an age classification. If their age class is child, they are invincible. Otherwise they can be killed. It isn't JUST the essential flag.

Wasn't known to them? They clearly thought there was valuable tech seeing as how they had already sent a contingent there.

    Modding ideas/suggestions

Revolvers do tend to be more accurate, especially ones that have rifled barrels. Revolvers require considerably less maintenance. Decent revolvers rarely if ever jam simply because they are a much simpler design with fewer points of possible failure. Actually revolvers CANNOT jam. If a...

    Fallout 3 Power Armor

I think a great irony here is that while realistically there should be training required for it, gameplay wise, training should only be required if power armor has a significant impact on gameplay. Why is it irony? Because power armor has virtually no impact in Fallout 3, since it is little...

    Radiation and Half-Lifes

Clean-up can fix that. It's easy to find radioactive materials thanks to that wonderful invention, the Geiger Counter.
