What is the point of the Children of Atom?

Another missed opportunity by Bethesda what's new.

Fallout 4 is not "Skyrim with guns."

As bad as Fallout 4 is at least they got the gun play right this time.

An analogy for the "mods 'll fix it" argument

Mods are awesome but if the game is boring broken or not very fun out of the box then what's the point of buying it when you have to wait years for the modders to clean up the developers mess. Those were dark times. Great analogy but who actually buys physical copies of PC games anymore?

PC World mentions Fallout4 as game of the year even though they think it's a bad game

They have already proven time and time again that they think the Fallout series is an fps series, rather than an RPG which it is. I'm not opposed to the games being controlled through an fps perspective but don't strip all the RPG elements out of the game and turn it into a generic shooter game...

I gave up trying to make sense of it too since doing so just results in a headache.

For all you oldschool fanboys.. Look what i found!

It's still an unstable engine that crashes way too much has characters that look weird and suffers numerous bugs. It's better with mods and unofficial patches but it still sucks.

PC World mentions Fallout4 as game of the year even though they think it's a bad game

True a video game should have a good atmosphere story and substance as well.

PC World mentions Fallout4 as game of the year even though they think it's a bad game

I agree Maximum PC and PC gamer are much better. I know right just because a video game is fun after being modded doesn't mean that the base game doesn't suck. Mods should have no merit on how good the vanilla game is.

Do you think Fallout 3 is guilty pleasure?

This I've never played a game that crashes and becomes so unstable after modding that it requires you to have massive mod lists and load orders.

So what lore has Bethesda done gone fucked up?

I know you're banned now but until Bethesda can actually make a story or world that feels somewhat alive then yes people will complain as much as they want. Interesting I can't believe I never noticed this after playing Fallout 2 many times!

So what lore has Bethesda done gone fucked up?

I'd say it's stupidity and a lore fuckup. After 200+ years in Fallout 3 plants and trees would defintley start regrowing again even with the massive amount of radiation from the War. At least in Fallout 1 it made sense that there was only a little bit of vegetation starting to regrow since...

Fallout 1 mod Fallout Fixt - next release will be some time in Jan 2020

100% true even after the game was officially patched up to 1.2 it still crashed. If anything unofficial patches and mods have actually reduced the amount of crashes in the game. Hopefully once Fallout is ported to the Fallout 2 engine most of the crashing will stop, I've never had a single crash...

Fallout 2 mod Fallout 2 Restoration Project 2.3.3 (Unofficial Expansion)

I have all the critical perks and I get them almost all the time so it must be a problem on your end.

Fallout 2 mod Fallout 2 Restoration Project 2.3.3 (Unofficial Expansion)

That might explain why you're not seeing them that often. I've noticed that when you fast shot enemies you don't get criticals as often but you should still be seeing them. Maybe you should try reinstalling your game and the restoration project to see if that helps any?

Fallout 2 mod Fallout 2 Restoration Project 2.3.3 (Unofficial Expansion)

What is your critical hit rate are you free aiming or making targeted shots? Free aiming reduces your chances of critically hitting. I'm not 100% sure on that. But I think that's how it works.
