    Fallout: New Vegas PC Updates

The update fixed it a bit for me... Now the game performs more or less like with the d3d9fix. The water = massive frameskip still exists for me though so I still need to turn all water options off to have it run buttersmooth...

Fallout: New Vegas reviews round-up #9

Wow... If that's the way most FO3 fans perceive the game then... Serves them well

Fallout: New Vegas reviews round-up #9

They gave Fallout 3 two scores : -5 out of 10 for Fallout fans ( poor writing, sucky quest, non-existant roleplay possibilities ) -7 out of 10 for newcomers I'd say New Vegas improved significantly most of what made CanardPC butcher Fallout 3 in their review in the first place. Sure...

Fallout: New Vegas Canard PC first impressions

Apparently, CanardPC gave New Vegas a 10 out of 10... Haven't read the article...I have been playing the game though and while it somewhat manages to feel like Fallout at times, and it's significantly better than Fallout 3 ( way better... ), 10 out of 10 is a bit of a stretch I'd say...

Fallout: New Vegas developer diary: Chris Avellone

What do you mean "purchase the rights for fallout" ? For a spin off ? Because, last I checked, the Fallout IP belongs to *sigh* Bethesda...

    Cooperative Gaming

Yeah...but the PC version is ten times worse than the 360 one. A few unofficial patches kinda fix it and hold it together with ductape just so it is playable but it's nowhere near as stable as the 360 one ( and the performance is worse than GTA IV ). Extremely good game though.

    Cooperative Gaming

The Splinter Cell : Chaos Theory and Splinter Cell : Conviction coop modes are pretty good ! Saints Row 2 Coop is one of the funniest coop game ever...if you don't mind the terrible bugs. Obscure 1 & 2 aren't too bad if you want to play a survival horror in coop. Better than Resident Evil...

General Gaming Megathread: What are you playing?

Yes, Amnesia is really scary. Probably the best audio experience I've ever had with a videogame. Didn't think I would find a game scarier than Project Zero 2...Looks like I did. And the Lovecraftian-horror is rendered at least as good as in Dark Corners of the Earth. If you like...

Mark Morgan's music will be in Fallout: New Vegas

The problem is that I've been listening to the Fallout 1 and 2 music for a while now ( not only ingame but also on my mp3 player ) so even though I love it, it hardly does anything for me anymore atmosphere-wise, since I know it by heart... The "remixes" probably are the remastered versions...

    Eurogamer interviews Todd Howard

It's weird though because from the look of the Inside the Vault interviews, they recruited a lot of people since Oblivion. Both dev teams were rather different so they didn't keep the engine just because the team was used to it. So...do they really love working with an outdated engine ...

Why there are no ladders in Bethesda/Gamebryo games

There are quite a few ladders in L4D1 ( a well-known exploit being to block the ladder so the infected are stuck while your teammates shoot them ) and common infected know how to use them. To get on rooftops or on upper floors in both L4D1 and L4D2, special infected use special ladders ( the...

Why there are no ladders in Bethesda/Gamebryo games

So that's why Megaton looks like a friggin' platform-game... Because they could not do ladders.

    BioShock Infinite

That was...unexpected. Apparently, it takes place in or around 1912. I like the steampunk design so far...but I'm not sure why this is called Bioshock and whether I want it to be linked in some stupid way to the two first games.
