    Fallout 3 Point Lookout Previews

Yes. And far too clearly, as the main game has already shown. Bethesda seems to have gone out of it's way to show that moral ambiguity isn't it's strong point.

Yeah, Leviathan is my favourite too. Crack The Skye just has a really spaced out, progressive vibe to it though.

    The Road the movie.

The world looks a lot brighter in the movie than I had imagined from the book. Not as grim, somehow. It'll be worth a look though.

The RPG Genre is fucked up

I agree with most of the folks here that personal attacks on Howard and Co. are wrong. The flipside, however, is the disproportionate amount of praise being levelled at this mediocre (if not downright talentless) game studio by media and fans. Bethesda have proven time and again that...

The Dark Knight of Role Playing Games

That is a really good interview. Makes me happy to have played and enjoyed all of those games when they came out.

A new Fallout game... by Obsidian?

I hope they'll be able to do something about the 3rd person perspective and animations in general, but not likely. Also, I for one always found Leonard Boyarsky's art direction to be one of the best things about Fallout. I hope he gets a chance to get involved with the franchise again...

Just stating my opinion bud. Doesn't have to have any bearing on what you think whatsoever.

I don't give a shit if it's monochromatic or not. I do think it's cool though.

    Three more The Pitt screenshots

The Arena looks cool, I think. In fact I like the overall idea of the Pitt in general. It's just a damn shame it's a part of Fallout 3. I'd love to have seen some of these areas in a Black Isle - style game.

    Bethesda to buy another IP?

That's what sprung to my mind when I saw the news too. I really really hope they don't get their hands on those IPs.

    Fallout 3 reviews round-up #97

I don't understand this. I'll admit that I don't know how the gaming press works, but these reviews are just ... mind boggling. Even if one were to approach Fallout 3 from a non 'Black Isle / original Fallout fan' perspective, it's a ridiculously shoddy game made by people with little to no...

What did Bethesda actually do better than Black Isle?

Did anyone else feel any way disconnected from the character they created at all? I mean, for all the much touted customization that the game (apparently) offers, I found it difficult to create a PC that was unique, or even close to what I had in mind when I set out on the adventure. I think...

What did Bethesda actually do better than Black Isle?

I think he was referring to the remnants of said culture, which, in fairness, is done pretty well.

    Set death anims vs Ragdolling

Man, the special death animations were great, like the Lieutenant's excrutiating disintegration and Frank's EPIC demise. I used to keep those in special save slots to watch them again. With regards to Fallout 3, I dunno, it just doesn't seem that violent to me. It certainly didn't strike...

    Michael Crichton dies

Shame about the man dying. I don't think he even told anyone that he was ill. While I'm not a fan of his work, or sci-fi generally, I really enjoyed Eaters Of The Dead; it showed his versatility as a writer.
