Insomnium - "Above The Weeping World". Finnish melancholy at it's best.

    Fallout 3 Gamestar preview

At least we're getting Radscorpions innstead of "Rat Scorpions" this time.

    The Simpsons Movie [Possible Spoilers]

That could be true. Futurama was a great show, on it's way to becoming a true classic when it was cut off. I reckon Groening preferred it to The Simpsons, too.

"Bethesda appears to have nailed it"

Sounds like they've nailed it alright. "Boiler Suits" for all.

    Child rearing.

Cute kid. Unfortunately my progeny only have the torsos of children and the lower portions of crows. They are unsuitable for photographs.

    The Simpsons Movie [Possible Spoilers]

Only seen trailers, but from those it looks like an extended version of the new (shit) Simpsons episodes. The new writers are just too busy competing for how many bizarre references they can cram into an episode whilst obliterating everything that made the series funny.

Tim Cain doesn't comment on Fallout 3

It's kind of like the old black and white Westerns where the good guys have white hats and the bad guys have black hats, so you know exactly who's who. It may be shallow but many of the old Black Isle folks look like nice decent guys you'd want to sit down and have a conversation with. Tim Cain...

    Pete Hines interview on SPOnG

I can't wait to find the space station these cosmic super-mutants are "invading the world" from. Bethsoft employees have broken their silence on one thing though: "Don’t forget that we are not coming out till Fall 2008" Good for you lads!

SeanMike on Fallout 3 as a sequel

Sounds like he gets the situation. His preview was also one of the better ones - not as rabidly sycophantic as the other horde. Good read, thanks.

    Fallout 3 at E3 - Firing Squad/Grrlgamer

Yes point of view and setting, two of the biggest possible changes that can be made to a game franchise with very little possibility of retaining artistic integrity, yeah, just two minor things there, complete nitpicking.

    Live Earth

Yes, you're right it is about that. I was just theorizing about the background because we know so little about it. I don't suppose it matters really. The best thing is, a book with the word 'Bloodcult' in it won the Pulitzer prize for literature, heh.

    Live Earth

As i understood it, the book was inspired by the author reading about the theoretical effects of nuclear devastation, that is, people instantly burned into the tarmac, perpetual darkness caused by ash thrown up into the atmosphere etc. All of the forests were burned to dead wood, which was then...

    Live Earth

It was crap. The concert-goers in England left so much rubbish and trash behind them (ignoring the special recycling bins provided) so as to render the entire exercise utterly futile and hypocritical. Plus Metallica's set got cut short for NO reason and the BBC recieved over 400 complaints about...

That's great work. Makes Bethesda's mutant look like a POS.

Fallout PnP canceled, new license announced

I'm all for underground, self-financed stuff, but only as long as it's good (i.e: done with at least a modicum of professionalism). I went to check out the Glutton Creeper website a while back and the quality of the writing was dire.

    Fallout 3 at E3 - Gaming Trend

One yelled “That’s how we do it in Alliance Pride, you fuckin’ freaks!” as he gunned down mutants across the street from him. Yeah!! Oh wait, no......

Liam Neeson's Role Gets Homeland Recognition

It's kinda surreal seeing Fallout mentioned in an Irish edition of a magazine. It's hard enough to get the games themselves over here. I might pick it up for the novelty value. However, what's this about "helping you through the various pitfalls of a post-apocalyptic world"? I know that...

Inside the Vault - Brian Robb

The guy actually gives a few positive responses there. The freedom of choice and open-endedness sounds good, it's just a pity he's not a little higher up the food chain in developing the game (that may or may not be true - i know nothing about game design).
