When they stop being a money-black hole for the gaming community?

I'm thinking a lot of people love Fallout for this - not what will happen, but what would have happened had we stuck with this? Myself included. I love all the stuff you see in FO, the supercomputers, vacuum tubes, old-school vehicles, fascination with nuclear energy like pre-Three-Mile-Island...

As I've said before, I'm watching this one intently. I can't wait to see some more of what they have done, and I want to try to get the beta, PC-power willing...

I second this. :| I admit, I like moving objects way too much (Ooh, red ball!), but Fallout is what introduced me to the "Turn-based isn't so bad, actually" mindset.

Note to those who aren't quite able to connect the dots: Go compare the beginning of Marathon to the end of Halo 3. It makes a little more sense. And, Kyuu, the extended bit only happens on Legendary.

Actually, Reason 1 hardly ever happens anymore, because said little 12 year old fags don't have the intelligence to learn a new control scheme. Many times over the past few days I've heard a sqeak about pressing reload, and instead throwing a Power Drain item. Hilarious.

I have to say, I sorta liked Bioshock better than this. It doesn't help that I kept getting a headache when I played for more than half an hour. It was fun to see how it all ends, though. And, playing Pirate Ships on Sandtrap definitely is awesome. Nothing better to say "Yarr" into your headset...

Well, to state it, yeah, I'm picking up my copy at midnight. Along with some of my IRL friends. I have nothing better to do, and I don't usually hit the sack until around 1 anyway, so I'll be there.

When I first played Mafia, I didn't like the way the cars handled, so I didn't play for more than a half hour. Hopefully, they won't start immediately with a chase scene.

Before I look, are they end of the entire world, or end of civilization? I feel the former is too depressing, so I don't waste my time reading them.

I think he has it preorderecd. Either that, or the US version of the game, which came out a week ago.

I would love a Freedom Fighters 2. That game was one of the best TPS' I played when it came out.

Note: With the cut of the 60 GB PS3, also goes the backwards-compatibility. They cut out the Emotion Engine chip on the 80 gig version, slated to replace the now-discontinued 60-gig.

Perhaps, instead of a BoS soldier where the Xbox logo usually is, maybe there should be a Vault door, maybe emblazoned with a big, stencil 13. Or, a Vaul-Tec logo. Either one sounds fun. Good job so far. :D
