I just wish Interplay somehow manages to stay afloat and continues to be able to sell the original trilogy (and rest of its back catalog).

Actually he did reply recently to topic about the lawsuit no less. He was on vacation apparently (probably nice to hear this first thing you get back to work). He can't comment on lawsuit obviously.

They are owned by ATARI so promo would not cover then even if they had the games onboard. But yes, it's shame they are not available, especially as they are among the most wanted games in GOG. I have them all except IWD1 but would most likely buy each at some point to make playing more convenient.

THQ is in no financial position to buy anything as they reported 431 million USD loses from last year. They might go bust them selves within few years unless they manage to make company profitable again. And I tought Freespace rights were split more than two ways (or maybe I'm remembering wrong).

Well they do sell quite few games (including the three fallouts) at GOG.com (Interplays catalog at GOG.com) and possibly other such services but I doubt they turn anywhere near enough money to fund full scale game development.

Probably but they might need to ask permission from interplay and while they would probably give it it might take time and effort (might require more than phone call or e-mail) that could be used on other things.
