What I really would like to see are 64bit executables. I don't see the 8th gen of consoles supporting this however, and probably most of the ports are going to stay in their 32bit shackles since it would be an extra effort, thus money for the big game devs to be spent.

Van Buren style 3D engine with an isometric view, zoom and rotate-able. FO1/2 Atmosphere, Large World, deep Story and good NPCs. That combined with a JA2 1.13 style Combat and Inventory system would make a truly epic game.
