    The problem with using deathtraps for cold, etc is the fact that then we lose gas effects (or whatever) we'll lose something to add something else, I hate doing that... With my system you would be allowed virtually limitless effects with no consequences. I could make STDs (with poison effects)...

    Yeah, it's pretty easy, you just need to create a new entity with the race 'uniqueother' then in the image section choose whatever sprite you like. then place the new entity on your map. it will need it's own player index. you should set the AI to a team that is friendly toward the human player...

    won't there be a problem with the addiction effects becoming cumulative and taking your stats down each time you use it? till finally you are left with a character with 1 str and 1 per (which would be useless). Jet in FO2 had a ONE TIME permanent effect of -1 str, and -1 per.
