    Fallout + Wasteland = ?

I'd probably play it to death.

    Post nuclear economy

Cigarettes would probably end up a high-end barter item. I expect the first things to have real value will be those that have "street value" - i.e. drugs, guns, etc - things people can't generally loot or produce. Then any kind of fuel. Then as the sources of looting dry up things like canned...

    [POLL] Have you played Wasteland!?

A lot. I had a C64 as a kid, so my gamer geekery got off to an early start. Really awesome game that shows what you can do without fancy graphics or 4 gig processors. It was due to having loved that one so much that I snagged FO1 the first week it was out.

    Post nuclear economy

"Somewhere" is the key word there. Then there's the question of how much is it worth? Then the REALLY big question is who owns it? Nobody knows. If technology breaks down, the banks, the taxes (and tax shelters), the investments, the debts, the mortgages, the equity, etc etc etc - it ALL...

    My computer goes *click*

You might try a commercial solvent, but I suspect you may be screwed on this one. Sorry.

    My Brotherhood Snusbox:

That would be pretty damn cool. I always wanted a hip flask. Alcoholics go to meetings. I'm just a drunk.

    Post nuclear economy

That's the scary part, it's not even paper these days, just bits of data in a computer somewhere. When people wake up and suddenly realize that their money doesn't exist anymore, we're likely to have a lousy morning. Practically everything in our society today is based on this imaginary money...

Is there even anyone still modding/honestly playing FOT?

Well, yeah. It's not so much that I find it too difficult, just too slow-moving. I can do the cover/sneak/snipe/whatever. But after the fourth or fifth (or twenty-ninth  ) headshot on a raider I start going "Oh, for ****'s sake, DIE already! I got 20 more of you to take out before I...

    Fallout 2 troubles

I get quite a few random crashes using only the official patch. I think the game just isn't entirely stable, so it's kind of a way of life. I've never had the cursor problem you describe though. Anyway, I save a lot, and keep backups of older saves just in case. My advice is to pay attention...

Is there even anyone still modding/honestly playing FOT?

I go back and play it from time to time, but have yet to finish it. In my opinion it's not horrid, but it has a high frustration level for me. Maybe I'm spoiled by the one shot/one kills you can achive in the other FO games, but it seems that every time you find a decent weapon it's already...

    Frank Horrigan help

If you have a halfway decent Big Guns skill, there are some Vindicator miniguns around (the guy guarding the scientist on the lowest level has one, along with more than enough ammo). That thing is vicious, a few bursts is usually enough to flatten him.

That should be turned into a graphic and included in a quest somewhere. That's pretty damn cool.

Fallout 2 Restoration Project 1.0 (Unofficial FO2 Expansion)

Did you have the Bag in your inventory? There's an engine bug that sometimes makes items stored below the Bag not get taken away when they should (this also happens in F1 for items above a container item). About the only way to avoid it is make sure that quest items and such are at the top of...

how did you kill the president in fallout 2?

I beat him to death bare handed. Extremely cathartic.

Which of these should i play?

After all this talking about it, I think I'll have to load it up again one of these days. It really is a great game.

    PKK12 Gauss Pistol/M72 Gauss Rifle

Don't believe so. A Gauss gun is just a different name for a Coilgun, which uses a series of electromagnets to accelerate the bullet. AFAIK, the magnetic fields are the only propellant, and the gun itself has no moving parts and doesn't make any noise when fired. I knew all those years...

    Mordino bug?

Yeah, he don't like you taking his golden boy.

    Torment and Arcanum

Planescape had its shortcomings, but every game does. I do consider it one of the single best games ever made. Your character and NPC's were far more than numbers on paper IMHO. Everybody had a very distinct personality, including not getting along with each other. At one point you found a...

Which of these should i play?

Don't recall that ever working for me. As I remember, the second any enemy was sighted everything started going at roughly the speed of sound until you switched over (which admittedly was one keystroke, but still). But who knows, I may have either missed something totally obvious, or I'm not...

Which of these should i play?

Well, it's been awhile since I played it, so some (or most) of this may be completely innaccurate: <\disclaimer> There wasn't a way to establish whether you wanted real time vs. turn based. It always started out in real time, meaning if you didn't switch to turn based immediately everything...
