I don't believe your saved games from earlier versions will work with the 1.3.2 patch, as it changes some core elements. You will likely need to start a new game. :( It's worth it in my opinion, though.
Back to bugfixing, wasn't able to replicate this one. Did you have any NPCs with you? To infiltrate the Cathedral you have to be completely by yourself, if I remember right.
I agree, but I think random encounters are actually controlled by scripts. Could be wrong but I don't think so. I can say for certain that F1 encounters are scripted. Using a character with 7 luck, I've gone through several complete games without running into Hot Spots, coyotes, or regular...
Regarding random encounters (not specials):
I don't know how the encounter mechanics work in F2, but I believe that in F1 certain encounters are impossible with a luck of 7 or more. To me this almost seems like a punishment for having a high luck (nothing but radscorpions and mole rats gets...
The Wrights are the closest to the "good guy" family, although if you want the nice-guy ending for them you need to leave them in power (i.e. assassinate or otherwise disenfranchise all the other bosses), but don't do their last quest, which means you can't become a made man for them. At least...
Re: Fixes
I could be wrong, but in my experience using the MkII fuel with the improved flamer seems to have a greater effect. Mixing and matching appears to be the equivalent of a standard flamer. Again, though, I could be wrong (and if it doesn't work this way, I think it should).
I could be way off, but it seems to me they toned down at least most of the adult-size deathclaws from the first game. Perhaps they're both "lesser deathclaws", just a mix of adults and babies?
I agree to both your points. One disappointment F1: I really wanted to go out exploring the remains of LA. Spend some time shifting through debris scavenging for prewar tech and popping some monsters in the ruins. Exploring the Glow was always great. Hyper radiated, completely trashed with...
I like it! One tiny issue I've had with the Fallout games is occasionally finding yourself surrounded by people who look exactly like you do. I think the PC should stand out as much as possible. Plus, it just looks wicked cool. :)
Is it...
A) Rad Scorpion, Radscorpion, or radscorpion
B) Death Claw, Deathclaw, death claw, or deathclaw
C) Super Mutant, super mutant, or supermutant
D) It depends on who's talking
E) Who gives a rat's ass?
Thanks for my morning laugh! Seriously, I like this a lot and would defnintely use it.
No offense, but personally I vote against this one. Reason being I often like to play "low tech", meaning no power armor except for infiltration purposes into Navarro and the Enclave (or...
I have run into one or two odd moments (in both games) with NPC's shifting a tile or two, but not regular enough to really count as an official bug, IMO. Maybe that's what happened to you? I dunno.
Did you fight anything on that level? Sometimes NPC's run away during combat, so perchance...
Fair enough. Personally, I pretend I don't get the clues for RP reasons. For example, you have an option to ask the guard at the BoS if they have a water chip, and (he/she/it?) tells you you'll have to ask the scribes. Enough of a bump to send me down to the Glow. Even visiting all the areas...
These both get my vote. Pools and open barrels of toxic waste should be a red flag (what is this, Tromaville?) :) Walking through the pools should really mess you up, rubber boots or no.
Perhaps, but then again, North America was more or less blanketed with dirty bombs if I uderstand the...
