    Legion Territory Speculation

Except for all the slaves, restrictions on knowledge and tech, etc. *reliance on slavery. Perpetual wartime behavior as indicated by numerous characters in and out of the Legion, including Caesar himself.

I missed the feeling of playing Fallout 4 for the first time... so I got my non-gamer girlfriend to

No. I didn't have a sense of wonder when I left Vault 101 either. It's a good moment. At that point I wasn't sure if I was going to like it or not, but I was generally excited to play a new Fallout game. Overall it ended up being a let down, and I never want to repeat that. So I suppose my...

    Brotherhood of Steel lore

Leave Lost Hills? As in, once the radiation cleared enough to explore?

There being more than one species of Super Mutant is stupid

"FEV Research" and ZAX 1.2's dialogue clearly indicate that it was only at two facilities: West-Tek and Mariposa. Everything afterward is a direct contradiction. Vault 87 is especially odious in that it asks us to believe they would stuff their beyond top-secret, super soldier serum into some...

    Fallout 3 criticisms

Hm. A bit underwhelming, but that's par for the course so no worries. In any event, all I did was tell a newcomer something they probably didn't know and made a suggestion that could ultimately lead them what they're after...but I'll be sure to maintain a British level of politeness in the...

    So I've played Fallout 4...

I'd say, looting, managing inventory, and fetching are frequent occupations. You did not phrase it as a correction. You clearly wrote it as a reaffirmation of your position, while changing what you were arguing. To correct yourself, you'd have to at the very least make reference to the fact...

    So I've played Fallout 4...

Still moving the goalposts I see. It would be a lot easier to just say that you made a mistake, and meant corridors. It would also be the adult thing to do. 90% is still an exaggeration, but let's just take this one step at a time. For the sake of argument, let's say I do. It'd still be your...

    Fallout 3 criticisms

My oh my, you're quite the delicate flower. If that's all it takes to be 'pissy', then I'd be curious to see what happens if someone is even the slightest bit snarky.

Who's your favourite Fallout lore youtuber?

There's a tonne of stuff off the beaten path, dots to connect that aren't obvious. A lot of threads here are about theories and speculation, so that's another thing to make videos about. There's also what ShoddyCast does, which is make it entertaining. As well as TriangleCity who goes behind the...

    The Fall of Bethesda

Dunno what 'it' amounts to in the long run. I hope they learn from it, and get their shit together. With corporate overlords in charge of everything, that isn't going to happen. At best they'll course correct just enough to get back to making bank with bunk. The only other possibility is that...

There are at least a dozen threads discussing this that I've participated in. Maybe try the search function.

    So I've played Fallout 4...

That may be your experience (sounds doubtful), but mileage varies. If you want to move the goalposts to "corridors" that's still an exaggeration in this case, accurate for lots of other games, and not in itself a criticism. It tells us nothing about whether that's a good or bad thing, let alone...

Fo2: Doctor Skill Need Bypassed by Lenny?

Forgot I posted this. I think it came down to whether or not there was any way to bring him into vault city to do its doctor checks in the vault.

Honest Hearts: Who do you side with?

Getting the Compliance Regulator, reading Survivalist entries (but not shlepping around to find them), leaving. As far as endings go, when I bother with them I help JG bc I'm not an idiot and self defense is not immoral.

    So I've played Fallout 4...

Scroll up to the words "false equivalency", which you quoted previously. I honestly don't even know why I bother when people lose the thread so quickly. Hardly better is still better. Barter and science are also common in dialogue. A gap in quality is still a gap in quality. And that was just...

The concept of "show, don't tell" in RPG's

It's not much more in the grand scheme of things. A few static images, or even just asset screenshots, plus the sound effects they already have in game...doesn't get much easier than that.

The concept of "show, don't tell" in RPG's

Uh....almost all of the story for the Glow comes from holos. Most of the story in Fo come from dialogue. It's very oriented towards telling, as with any other text and click type game. My solution is to provide images and sounds to all instances of storytelling by NPCs and notes. Basically your...

    Best weapon in Fallout 3?

I do...always, in every game. It's still useful even with an unarmed/melee run in Fo and Fo2 where you eventually take slayer. Crit damage is just too valuable in my experience, especially with Fo3 and NV. It completely changes the weapon meta in those two.

    So I've played Fallout 4...

Not to be a double standard. That's patently false. It's dialogue system for example is much worse. Also, why bury the salient point in the middle of your comment? Why not just reply to what I was specifically arguing?

    Most Hated Fallout Character

Eden regurgitated the plot, not Autumn. Kind of typifies how much you're ignoring or getting wrong here.
