    Kill Daren Hightower or not?

Yeah, that's why I wasn't sure. I ended up robbing him in the dumbest way possible. Went into combat to walk passed him. Blew myself up disabling the trap. Then walked out just to tell him that Iguana Bob owed him money, which I then said I didn't have. As opposed to the necklace he let me keep...

    Is fallout dry?

If people are worried about the setting not being appropriately desolate, struggling, etc, then consider natural disasters. I think the Fallout world is surprisingly absent of them. Earthquakes, floods, hurricanes, contagions, pest plagues/invasive species, could all stall out progress or claw...

    Kill Daren Hightower or not?

Obviously Decker still has to die, but is the Hub better off without Daren Hightower? Personally I'm considering it, but I'd report Decker after picking up his second quest. Mostly just curious what sort of arguments people will put forth.

Does the Barter Skill Work in Fallout 1 and 2

I tried it now, but it's also my first run where I steal stuff and that's making it kind of moot. It does make farming skill books from Stapleton really easy tho which is nice. Just sell and steal back the Red Ryder Le BB gun a bunch to buy a bunch along with a few hundred caps each time.

    Is fallout dry?

If you say so. I've never seen a story mod that wasn't kind of meh. (fixed typo)

    Is fallout dry?

They could also split it into two series. One with classic canon and design sensibilities, and the other can do whatever the fuck is necessary to appeal to troglodytes bc apparently their idea of Fallout matters too.

    Fallout 1 versus Fallout 2

I wanted to stick to HtH. Do you take Fast Shot or use aimed shots? SM?

    Is fallout dry?

Sequels don't have to come after previous titles chronologically. Any game set in a new location wouldn't be a prequel if the plot lines don't intersect. The lore of each region should be developed across the first few centuries. So long as it expands overall, rather than being perpetually...

Does the Barter Skill Work in Fallout 1 and 2

Fallout 1 Has anyone personally tested whether this ever makes a difference at high levels or not? Please only answer if you have gotten it to 100% or something like that and seen the difference. I've already read as many posts on various forums as I can but there doesn't seem to be any...

    Legion Territory Speculation

It's weird that Boone is the only one to mention this line of succession. Why of all people does he know about this? Ulysses didn't seem it was worth mentioning. Neither did Joshua Graham, and they were both high up.

    Fallout 1 versus Fallout 2

I've been replaying them, and I thought I'd get enough experience with them to decide...but right now all I know is that I hate playing a melee character.

Fallout 1 mod Idea: turn 'Tell me abouts' into regular dialogue options!

'Tell me abouts' only require a keyword. Each could be rephrased into a question that shows up in normal dialogue. Obviously only those that result from keywords the player character would know about should show up. For instance, going to Junktown or hearing about it. Why, you may ask: because...

What is the proper solution to Tenpenny Tower

Recently I've wondered why I can't apply the liniment or sap in addition to euthanizing Harold. The tree is still alive apparently. Everyone seems to indicate that it won't grow or wither, just stay as is. Which is to say, no change from before killing Harold. I guess his heart is needed bc...

So which does NMA think is more important: worldbuilding or the overall experience?

Wholism vs just worldbuilding? uh...that's a bit of a weird comparison. Category vs instance is hard to do.

    Nightkin Thoughts

I think you hit the nail on the head. Intellect and maturity are not the same. Immature people can be extremely intelligent. Given that most supermutants of any type are intellectually immature, I think nightkin being as such is parsimonious (it assumes the least).

What do you think happened to the Mordinos?

    Sounds thought out. Neat.

Tranquility Lane - The best part of Fallout 3?

Purifying water doesn't really help anyone if you're contaminating it. The first just ensures the second will affect more people. "In the add-on Broken Steel, if the Lone Wanderer chose to contaminate the Purifier with the modified FEV, the medical facility of nearly every major settlement in...

What is the proper solution to Tenpenny Tower

If that's all you've understood so far, then your reading skills could use some work. That or your fond of strawmen. Either way it's been explained thoroughly more than once on this thread, so restating it would only belabor the point.

    Poe's law for life huh?

Tranquility Lane - The best part of Fallout 3?

As usual, discussions of Fo3 lore comes down to one side grasping at straws, while the other beats a dead horse. My favorite parts are where I have actual choices. If I want linear stories I'll pick up a Rockstar game or something.
