What is the proper solution to Tenpenny Tower

Not doing a quest isn't really commentary though. It's also bad quest design.

    Beyond the Beef Broke

Feel free to share any of your own experiences that you thought were funny. I decided to try and solve Beyond the Beef differently than usual. I had set my reps to zero for Lonesome Road, because I wanted the "Yes-Man"/no-faction dialogue as per my Independent playthrough. So I couldn't join...

Classic Fallout Games has better characters

Bethesda doesn't test things out as a pen & paper game, nor do they hire actual writers. As best I can tell they have some kind of severe allergy to originality. As for big companies, I disagree. All they do is push the cinematic envelope further than anyone else, and that's it really. The...

    MATN Fallout 76

Fair enough. I would try to separate qualia from quality though. Poorly designed games can be fun. Qualia wise they are enjoyable, in the same manner as B-movies. Both of which are not always unintentionally bad (e.g Surgeon Simulator). Their quality is another matter.

    MATN Fallout 76

Some arguments are, and some arguments aren't. Not all are equal. Opinions can be wrong. Art is not some 100% subjective, ineffable mystery. No professor for any art class or program will tell their students to just wing spaghetti at the wall until something sticks. There is good game design...

Most psychopathic character in New Vegas?

That doesn't exactly yield a good ending for the Khans, as they end up on a reserve (to put it "nicely"). As for the BoS, it just means their tech raiding is sanctioned. It might seem goody-two-shoes to arrange peace with them, but it just kicks the can down the road.

Or understand them apparently, but that's okay. :falloutonline:

Gaping plot holes in New Vegas

Are they even actively sporulating though? There could be a cycle or some kind of trigger. We don't know much other than only vault dwellers have been infected, aside from the test zone in Big MT where know tf knows what happened.

Most psychopathic character in New Vegas?

I guess the Van Graffs are less NCR than Crimson Caravan.

    Fallout 76

Just reread my posts and all I said psychosis would result from having the psyker trait. So I'm not sure where you got that impression. That's 4 if you count the Master. There are more examples than that. The wikia page even lists the 'Animal Friend' and 'Mental Block' perks from Fo (1) as...

Why I will likely never play the original Fallouts

Yeah I'm a real wildman alright. The kind that lives on a couch. Ha ha...self zinger. I thought you had just gotten through telling Gizmo that all RPGs also belong to other genres... 'Nuh-uh' doesn't really articulate a point. I sort of doubt players were going through entire games without...

    Fallout 76

We never find out how most characters with psychic powers get theirs, so we don't really need to know how the pc does either per say. The trait itself would imply something about the characters past, but it could include dialogue options about that. Ideally the pc backstory remains open, as with...

Why I will likely never play the original Fallouts

You're limiting the notion of roleplaying here. D&D style imagination play with character stats isn't the end all be all of roleplaying. Videogame architecture can achieve the same things, such as verbally indicating what your character doing, through the interactivity of the software. The same...

Why I will likely never play the original Fallouts

I know. I was there. That doesn't really clarify anything. I said as far as I know it isn't possible to play Deus Ex without roleplaying. They aren't *allowing* roleplaying if I'm right, they're requiring it. That would means it has RPG mechanics and is an RPG. Explaining why you believe them...

    Fallout 76

That section of the video is mostly speculation. I'm not interested in some random youtubers headcanon. Also, *nobody would force you to take a pskyer trait*. So how would it affect future installments? I hope the answer isn't a non-sequitur. Never said I wanted Bethesda's take on anything...

    New Retcon?

At this point I think Fallout should have multiple timelines recognized on the wikis. I don't want Bethesda's latest abortion filling every article with contradictions. Not that they aren't already...if there's anything BGS constantlys pushes to new extremes it's lorebreaking. Now basically...

    Fallout 76

She has psychic powers, ergo she's a psyker. Her powers just happen to be triggered by chems. We don't know why it works that way for her, but it's indicated in game that you can't just take chems to have visions. Raiders try and fail. I'm just repeating myself now, but I'd have it as a trait...

Why I will likely never play the original Fallouts

I haven't played either. How are you required to RP in those games? I didn't say anything about allowing roleplaying. I certainly don't think anything that can be roleplayed is an RPG, but I don't see how an RPG could prohibit roleplaying. Without RP, there is just a G.

    Fallout 76

How so? The only psyker they've ever done is Mama Murphy. I'm not suggesting increasing the number of psykers in the world, just that the player character could optionally become a rare instance. They're uncommon and so are cyborgs (that aren't robobrains) and the player character can become...

Tactics could have made a great spin-off series

I don't think Fo3 satisfied FPS junkies tho. It's gunplay is abysmal. NV improves it massively (bringing it up to decent). Oh, and if Fo4 and 76 were a separate continuity that would be much better.
