Fallout 2 mod FO2 Engine Tweaks (Sfall)

See: http://falloutmods.wikia.com/wiki/Frm_files#FRM_header_.26_data I _might_ have some notes about the whole animation system lying around somewhere. If I find the time to look into it at the weekend I'll try to dig them up and post the stuff here.

    FIFE hits 2008.1

Zero-Projekt is surely the one that comes closest to Fallout ATM: http://zero-projekt.net/zero-content/include/language.php?l=1 The main reason why there are just few FIFE-based projects in development yet is that FIFE is still under heavy development. Hopefully we'll see some new FIFE-based...

    FIFE hits 2008.1

Thanks for posting this Brother_None :-) I thought about sending it in as news but you eased the decision with this step. Cheers :-)

FIFE - open source RPG engine with Fallout support

We've done it again! We proudly present the FIFE 2008.1 release :-) Download: Source package (FreeBSD, Linux, Macintosh) Win32 binaries For the 2008.1 release we decided to stick to the tropical island concept and called our example game "Rio de hola". Caution: this release is still...

FIFE - open source RPG engine with Fallout support

Welcome to yet another FIFE update! This one covers a whole bunch of aspects. Finally the end of the license switch process from GPL to LGPL is in sight. Furthermore we're currently replacing our unittests, consider to upgrade to the latest guichan release and plan to release a new win32...

    FOnline open test

I guess as soon as money is involved (even just for server hosting), Interplay would have a strawman argument to shut the project down. I wish you best of luck but I'm a bit sceptic as I see basically two options: 1. The project doesn't attract too many players and stays under the radar of...

    FOnline open test

You should be able to convert your UK critter.dat into a US version with this patch: http://downloads.sourceforge.net/fife/FO2_critters_UK_US.tar How to patch: http://falloutmods.wikia.com/wiki/Fallout_critter_patches Let me know if it worked for you!

FIFE - open source RPG engine with Fallout support

There are two important things to talk about so we decided to post a little developer blog update to keep the community up to date about the current status of the project. FIFE is still progressing rather slow because of the lack of active developers who can invest time into the project. If...

FIFE - open source RPG engine with Fallout support

This FAQ entry should answer your questions :-) http://wiki.fifengine.de/Frequently_answered_questions#Playing_Fallout_by_using_FIFE.3F

FIFE - open source RPG engine with Fallout support

Hello and welcome to yet another FIFE update :-) Unfortunately this one contains somewhat bad news as the majority of our key developers have been quite busy lately. Now I'm facing some serious university issues so I'll need to take a temporaty break from the project as well. We appreciate...

Modding collaboration: SVN for killap's patch & RP?

Now that killap is back I give this thread a final bump to underline how useful it would be for the community IMO if we could move killap's patches to a Subversion repository. I'm pretty sure darkbeholder would still offer his services for free so what we need now is killap's opinion on the...

FIFE - open source RPG engine with Fallout support

It's likely that we'll stick to the FIFE acronym but give it a different meaning. No final decision made yet though. Hopefully we'll have made up our minds when the 2008.1 milestone gets released.

It's not his real name ;-) As mentioned in a bunch of threads at RPGcodex.

FIFE - open source RPG engine with Fallout support

Looks like FIFE was used for a Afterfall April fools' joke: http://www.afterfall.pl/index/pl/show/467 EDIT: Seems like the Afterfall team removed the article again today :-/ So let's bring up some FIFE news instead. EDIT 2: Now they cleared up the joke...

Down the Wall with Vince D. Weller

If there is the option to buy it via Paypal, I'll do so :-) I'm really looking forward to AoD. Keep up the good work guys, I really love what you're doing.

Modding collaboration: SVN for killap's patch & RP?

Just a little status update: I've messaged killap and nevill last night and informed them about the thread. Killap already replied and mentioned that he's quite busy with university work this week but he can hopefully take a look into the thread at the weekend and reply in here. No message...

    Fallout Online mod project update

If this turns out to be a success they might receive a cease and desist letter anyway. You can hardly label this as a mod! It's a hack that lets you play Fallout online. Therefore it can be seen as a new game and if they use SPECIAL for it the license owner (not sure if it's Interplay or...

Fallout 2 Restoration Project 1.1 (Unofficial FO2 Expansion)

Mac version is unlikely as the patches are based on Timeslips engine tweaks that rely on modified binaries. These modified binaries (ddraw.dll) won't work on Macs.

    Fallout Online mod project update

AFAIR they even open sourced their code some months ago. So I guess anyone could fork the code in case the team falls apart.

Modding collaboration: SVN for killap's patch & RP?

Yep, that's another plus of trac :-) I'll PM killap (who seems to be back now) and Nevill tonight to ensure that they don't miss the thread and can contribute with their opinion as well.
