    Fallout 3 Compendium - Release 12 - Beta v0.6.0.2

Ammo types is already done. Each weapon has multiple entries in the Editor, one for each ammo type. Swapping ammo is handled by a script that lets you swap out one for another while inside the pipboy menu. NPC's using the extended AI I'm working on will also have the capacity to do the same...

    "AIExt" - Comments on Squad-Controls?

right now it's the entire party. this is partly because by default, the game only understands -one- follower for the player. (dogmeat is a creature and doesn't count) this thing is designed to react to -any- type of group structure. a combat group (a squad) made up of 7 super mutants for...

    Talking heads!

I've talked candidly with several bethesda developers (in private), and while I am not willing to divulge identities I'd be happy to say that the devs actually ARE very supporting and interested in the modder community. Numerous things were also said about the NMA community in particular, and...

    Fallout 3 Compendium - Release 12 - Beta v0.6.0.2

the NPC will shoot you if you tell them to shoot you. WHERE they shoot you however is entirely dependent on them.

    AI Behavior suggestions?

That's handled by the "Nest" portion of the AI Core. It records what cell an eNPC is in, and what their citizenship faction is. If the AI Core detects there are a lot of eNPCs in an unregistered cell for a long time that share the same citizenship faction, it creates a new record for that cell...

    Fallout 3 Compendium - Release 12 - Beta v0.6.0.2

    Fallout 3 Compendium - Release 12 - Beta v0.6.0.2

You can detect -where- an actor gets hit, but afaik you can't -tell- the actor where -to- hit, only -who- to hit. On another note, I've discovered (eventually) with FOSE, we could have 2D floating text over an actor's head when they speak.

Sorry I don't like having hat hair... or crown hair?

    Fallout 3 Compendium - Release 12 - Beta v0.6.0.2

That may or may not happen depending on how the BodyPartData gets decoded by the FOSE folks. Right now, the two primary weapon usage functions are very good, but lack the capacity to target a specific body part. ex: BuddyRef.UseWeapon Pistol12 BuddyRef HollyRef 5 0 0 0 0 XMarkerRef047...

    AI Behavior suggestions?

Actually that is part of the group portion of the AI Core. And they won't use it just on trying to flush -you- out, but if the situation validates it, they can do the same to other npcs.

    Fallout 3 Compendium - Release 12 - Beta v0.6.0.2

Actually yes. I might be able to accomplish something like that as well, but the game was still designed as a first person shooter. I've finished most of the weapons for F3C's next release, and the armor penetration & armor defenses. What I'm working on right now is the AI Core. It's complex...

    AI Behavior suggestions?

Yes, that's categorized as Node.Awareness=Disoriented in the AI Node.

    Classic Fallout pistols and weapons

Btw, for those that -don't- know the movie reference, the 2019 Detective Special is the "real" .223 Pistol. And Hogan, there are several weapons that are based off of real-world counterparts, but aren't real. In the design doc, the weapons are indexed by the year they were introduced...
