Because it just seems odd in a world you can makes bombs out of soda, swords that are on fire, and other complex weapon systems, not a single crossbow exists.

I just don't see a problem with at least having the option of having a crossbow. There are so many options with it.

Can someone tell me what it would've hurt to include a crossbow? e have throwing spears for Pete's sake, but a we couldn't put a crossbow into the equation?

No I completely understand that. That's why I enjoyed the first two games. However, I don't think the idea is too unreasonable as far as Science! goes. Like I said, some constructive criticisms would be greatly appreciated.
