    Obsidian's Project Eternity

It could be that it is further down because it's a lower priority than those other things. It also serves as an intermediate step for the 2.2 million goal, which sounds like a pretty big upgrade, but requires them to hit double their original goal, if they just left out the house goal at 2...

    Obsidian's Project Eternity

I don't agree with this, there is nothing distinctively Bioware about player housing at all. Bioware games have them, but so do tons of other games including other Western RPGs, Japanese RPGs, action games and several Obsidian games including New Vegas, Alpha Protocol and KOTOR 2. Even Arcanum...

    Obsidian's Project Eternity

I'm sure they've pitched ideas like this to publishers before, but its likely almost impossible to get funding for something like this. If both this game and Wasteland are successful that could change though. I like player houses, camps, whatever, even ones that are fairly minimal and if...

    Intense Training?

Starting INT of 6 can be ok for Voracious Reader, so you can nearly unlimited true police stories, but otherwise there isn't much benefit to starting over 4 if you have all the DLC; start at 4, get one of comprehension or educated, implant for Pack Rat and maybe you won't have everything maxed...

    Rank the DLC's

    1. Dead Money The best balance of combat and non-combat skills, best use of companions, best writing and dialogue. 2. Honest Hearts I take a different approach to Honest Hearts, for me the main story in the story of Zion itself, told from the combination of the survivalist logs and the...

    Obsidian's Project Eternity

I wonder if whatever it is will recycle ideas from Black Hound the way New Vegas did with Van Buren.

    Is NV too much NCR-Sided?

Except the vast majority non-NCR of the people in the game don't support NCR at all. They might not like House but they are generally apathetic toward him because he leaves them alone and they find that preferable to being ruled over by NCR. Obviously NCR is preferable to these people than the...

    Is NV too much NCR-Sided?

This may will be true, but Caesar in the game, misguided or not, seems to think it will work (although obviously he's not going bother trying to integrate democracy). Generally, I think the best character type to role play on the Legion storyline, is misguided pseudo-academic, who is willing...

J.E. Sawyer on the Legion, money and miscellanea

It's at least partially his doing because he made the area appealing to the open branch, due to the money and people the casinos and dam bring into the area and the security he created by pacifying the local tribes. If House doesn't do his thing first, they don't really have any reason to be...

J.E. Sawyer on the Legion, money and miscellanea

Even if they aren't under his authority the have allowed Vegas to be major trade hub of the region. The most notable example is game is Heck Gunderson. He bribes senators who in turn allow him to hire mercenaries to force other ranchers off their land and give it to him. That is a severe...

J.E. Sawyer on the Legion, money and miscellanea

I think it is supposed to be seen as more of trade hub, but I think the scaling limitations of the game hide that some. I think the Crimson Caravan office is supposed to be big, the Van Graffs are there and there are handful other merchants around. There is more trade there in anywhere else in...

J.E. Sawyer on the Legion, money and miscellanea

I don't think they supposed to taken too seriously. They are joinable to because people often want to play the bad guy and Caesar's philosophical nonsense is there to give them more motivation and justification than pointlessly murdering people, but I don't think they were ever really supposed...

    Tim Cain staying at Obsidian

Isn't that what New Vegas was? It was for me at least, I don't really expect another Fallout game that isn't completely Bethesda style (although if we get one I certainly won't complain). Hopefully Obsidian can start working on more original ideas soon with more freedom to be creative and...

    My problem with NV

The explorer trait is really useful on your first time through the game if you want to find as many people, places and things as possible without using a guide. Obviously talking to people as much as possible helps too.

Fallout NV Ultimate Edition out in February 2012

The game is a hardcore memory hog and the PS3 has the least a available memory, PCs will generally have the most. I've played through the game 8 times on the PS3 though, including recently with all the DLC and once before even the first patch came out, there are issues, but usually nothing...

What will be the canon ending of New Vegas?

NCR seems by far the worst choice for the future of the series. The level of civilization in the game world is already significantly more advanced and restored by most post-apocalyptic standards, an NCR victory would only push it farther from it roots. Some of level of chaos, destruction and...

    Fashionably Late: Fallout: New Vegas

I see the Think Tank as the OWB antagonists more than Mobius. For the main game NCR, the Legion and Benny are clearly antagonists, you are just given the option to work with one NCR or Legion if you choose (but you don't have to, that is what House and Yes-Man are for).
