I think joke stealing allegations tend to be a bit overblown anyway. I remember once reading a pretty good blog series on "parallel thinking", essentially arguing that very similar jokes can be created completely independently.

The intensity of your dislike seems really bizarre when I consider how many quality Mario games there have been. I guess if you're just ignorant of them, that might explain it.

There may be a disproportionately large number of specialists compared to historical battles, but there are always a large number of line infantry. It's the most common class on on any given team, and the one I almost always use.

The original battle chess was awesome. I loved that game, and I was never any good at chess. I used to play games against myself just I could see all the different combinations of fights.
