What's this 'pure' RPG eh? There is no pure RPG. There are only variations of different types of RPGs. Using 'pure' implies the 'best', 'as it should be', and I'm sure your idea of a 'pure' RPG is different than mine.

Yes, and Fallout3 has got that. Maybe you don't see it, or accept it, or it doesn't play the way you want it, but it is there. If it wasn't I don't think me and others would be playing the game eh?

"Pure RPG" :lol: Do you mean an RPG which satisfies your idea of what an RPG is? There is no universally 'pure' RPG. An action RPG is just an RPG like any other type of RPG, be it classical, dungeon crawler, rogue like etc

Did you sign in on live? That happened to me so what I did was click on LIVE and sign in.

1) Bigger area with more content. 2) Better dialogue. 3) Take away the lockpicking minigame (though keep the hacking minigame, I like it :D) 4) VATS needs more tweaking, as much as I think it's fun, it needs more work to be done on it. 5) More gray moral areas rather than black and white...

Not sure about a genuine worthy sequel, though I'm only in the begining. I feel the vault atmosphere was spot on though. Can't comment on anything else for now, too early. But I agree with you OP on several points you mentioned.

I've been playing for 3 hours and as of yet I'm having quite some fun.

If screenshots were provided it would be better, I'd want to see how the retextures look like and what not.

I liked the Codex review, kinda like my opinion on the game. Very fun, good modern RPG, though not much of a Fallout; more like with Fallout elements. Only played a little at my friend's though, need to buy the game myself yet. Still waiting for VD's review, just to see what he has to say...

Actually I was surprised at the number of people who after hearing of Fallout3 went and got Fallout1 and sometimes FO2 too :)

What was that about Steve Jackson and the Secret Service? I had a game similar to wasteland, I sooo hated it - it was in a fantasy medieval setting though.

True, OOO made it much better, I finally exceeded the 200 hour mark *looks down* Still, I was disappointed. A mod like that should have been part of the original game!

That's one of the good things about the game ~ since I like the new BoS PA better than the original BoS PA, which I did not like.
