I hope the 'bad main quest' is an exaggeration, I want it to be at least decent. Haven't/won't read through the main plot until I play it myself.

Well this was one man's opinion so if those aforementioned features made Fallout 'Fallout' for him, then so be it. Gameplay and environment made Fallout 'Fallout' for me - but I'm sure other people have different reasons.

Same here. I don't trust very positive/negative previews. I'll decide when I'll play the game someday.

I would imagine there are the crap voice actors, the ok voice actors, the voiceactors which are passable and you do not mind, and some voiceactors which are pretty good. Unlike Oblivion which were all in the crap department IMO. Except for that one guy who I forgot the name.

BTW - don't really trust this test, many a times I got better/worse actual results after playing a game. Sometimes the test was very wrong indeed (Mass Effect and The Witcher).

Definitely licensing. Taking Fifa for example, they've got every team licensed while I end up with just a couple teams licensed in Pro Evo Soccer.

Have to agree with this. I kinda get excited over nothing while playing a game for the first time. In fact I now determine how much I love a video game depending on how long I keep on playing it, rather than what my first thoughts about the game was. Kinda silly how my mind works, but yeah.

The one thing which I really like is the atmosphere in the game. Of course, my PC won't handle those settings, but anyway.

Yes I believe with Oblivion they went downhill, I was so disappointed (being a huge TES fan). Though up till Morrowind I regarded them as my favourite game making company. Now, I have no preferences for a game company.

That's good to hear, if I understood you correctly.

I skimmed through some videos, but I want to play the game myself, and then try and review it unbiasedly, which is hard to do, but I'll try. I already know I'll have to look at it from two sides, the fallout franchise side, and a-game-on-its-own side.
