Plot-holes and logical inconsistencies of FO3?

Do correct me if I'm wrong, but couldn't the PIP-Boy be easily removed in Fallout 1 and 2? Why go through all the trouble of basically burning it onto somebody's arm? And you can see in the scene in Doc Mitchell's house, that not only is a PIP-Boy added, but also a PIP-Boy glove. If a...

It is worth playing Fallout 3?

Meh, Fallout 3 is worth it be played at least once. I started with 3, and I thought it was the greatest game ever, until I saw NV. Well, the least it did was give me a lot of good memories for my first introduction to 'adult' gaming, and it got me interested in Fallout.

A boatload of good ideas for Fallout

I don't know if someone created a thread about this already, but if someone did, notify me, and I will delete this post. I was poking about the Fallout wiki (not the Vault) and I came across the Fallout Apprentice contest. This contest was held between about 10 members. The contestants had to...

    Faction joined in NV?

I usually go with the NCR. All things considered, they have done a good job with California, which is implied to be relatively rebuilt, and they generally want to do good. They might be imperialist, they might be unlikable, they might be naive, but at least they based their ideology on a system...

To me, Honest Hearts really wasn't that good...

Lonesome Road was designed along the aspect of the road. I believe that's why there aren't a lot of areas to explore off the beaten path. But that's the whole point. This is one last road you must walk, before you reach the end of your journey. Dead Money is built around the idea of the...

To me, Honest Hearts really wasn't that good...

I fully agree with SurfSolar. While it does indeed begin promisingly, that illusion is soon shattered when you discover the DLC is filled with fetch quests. THAT, ladies and gentlemen, is one hell of a 'breaking the suspension of disbelief' moment. After middling along a bit through Zion Valley...

NCR Ending and final battle - worst of the game?

    Are you a druggie?

I generally don't use drugs. It's simple enough to get by without using them, so why should you deal with the chance of addiction and blowing a couple hundred caps on a doctor or on Fixer? I do home brew some drugs such as slasher and rocket, they rid you of surplus supplies, and you can make...

    Signature Weapon

I carry a long ranged rifle around as my primary weapon. One of my favorite rifles is This Machine, especially the fully modded version that you can get with WMX. I also usually have a pistol with me. My favorite pistol is a pistol called Bertha (it's from a mod), it's a 10mm modified to fire...

    Your Favorite Companions

Though I usually travel alone, I have used companions sometimes. I'll list them all, from best to worst (in my opinion). I think Boone is the best companion in the game. You can get him early on, is a beast with rifles, and his companion perk is extremely powerful. After that comes ED-E, with...

Duke Nukem: Lost in New Vegas (Updated June 12th)

Will Duke be actively pursuing one of the main quest lines to change the fate of New Vegas? Or will he only be trying to return home?

Killing Legendary Deathclaw (without relying on bugs)

The deathclaw was a fairly easy kill for me. An anti-materiel rifle, a stealth boy, combat armor mk II, and a single .50 incendiary did the job for me. Just wait until you see that goddamn legendary cazadore, you'll really be up the creek without a paddle if you don't come prepared.

    Favorit NV mods

For adventures, I run with New Vegas Bounties one and two. They never cease to amuse me. If weapons are needed, I go with AG supplementary uniques (most underrated mod on the Nexus) and Classic Fallout Weapons. For armor, I go with Dragbody's armour packs, or individual mods, like Mikael...

    Plasma or Laser

Laser, even though I rarely use energy weapons. When I do, I go for the precision the laser offers you. Makes it much easier to cripple limbs and damage weapons that way. Plasma may just about instantly cripple a limb if it hits, but the real point is, IF it hits.

Duke Nukem: Lost in New Vegas (Updated June 12th)

TorontRayne, I've got a couple of good mods for you if you need them. Need more guns? AG supplementary uniques is the mod to go to. None of the guns break lore (they're all mash-ups of vanilla guns), many have some kind of backstory, and none are too overpowered. Plus, there's such awesome...

Introduce yourself! AKA the "Say hello" thread

Hello everybody! I call myself The Sixth Ranger, and I decided to join this forum after one day of ghosting. The Fallout series is my favorite game series of all time, and I have finally found an intelligent discussion board for the series. So, I'll be around.
