I do hope your kidding. Fallout 3 and Oblivion are really the pinnacle of gaming. If they fixed some of the issues I addressed above the games really would be incredible. No-one plays isometric games anymore, get over it.

Huh? There's no reason why it _can't_ be a gaming platform though (if more games had OpenGL support). It's just really frustrating when they do things like this as I primarily use OS X and Ubuntu so the headache is enormous.

What? I think Fallout 3 is an incredible game - just because you don't agree doesn't mean you can accuse them of bribery! It's one of the best games I've ever played in fact.

Yeah I agree but I think like Rivet City could do with a dungeon or something and maybe Megaton could be settled with a duel or something. It really annoyed me that when I fought the sheriff in Megaton it made the entire town hostile. Also, what's with the bug where if you kill someone their bed...

Yeah, some parts of the game (like the end of the main quest) feel rushed but most of what people are complaining about is just nitpickery. It's still a great game overall and I think the world is believable enough as it is.

Because Fallout 3 has all the deep AI running, bigger environments, more NPC's, friendlies and hostiles, etc. Who cares about graphics that much anyway - as long as they are good enough to show clearly what is happening. I don't see how more HDR or bloom would help fallout 3.

It's the first time I've seen such a tutorial. It sure beats Temple Of Trials tedium. Fallout 3 doesn't cater to the lowest common denominator - maybe it's a bit too dumbed-down (like Morrowind vs Oblivion) but I wouldn't go that far. I really like VATS but I wish the combat was slower...

Fallout 3 has great graphics and they work great in game. Who cares if it has 500 less polygons per frame than Crysis or w/e. It's how the game feels that matters. It seems all this forum is is people complaining.

Yeah, at least Fallout 3 kept the gore and swearing but putting in invincible children was ridiculous. But hten the game would be banned if you could headshot children - Fox News would have a field day. I guess it's just one of the compromises of making a more popular game with better graphics...

I hate the Gaming For Windows crap - I was really disappointed in Bethesda for including it. As it makes Fallout 3 much harder to run in WINE/Crossover.

I'm surprised it's getting such low scores tbh. 9.0/10! I much preferred this game to BioShock and others. It definitely deserves GOTY. 11/10.

Haha, it's strange reading this thread as Bethesda are my favourite company by miles ever since Morrowind. I hope they keep the franchise and make Fallout 4 - perhaps being a bit more careful with the plot and spending more time ironing out the quests. Of course, if they make a new engine...

Well I, for one, would much prefer it if Blizzard made Diablo like Oblivion (FPS/RPG). That way there would be competition in the FPS/RPG market and it also allows the introduction of deeper gameplay elements like stealth and thievery but keeping the action.

Is there any way you could reduce/remove the leveling of hostiles in the game? I'm a big fan of Fallout 3 and Oblivion but I _do_ think this makes it much too easy. IMO they should remove the leveling to make it harder and then slow down combat out of VATS and make VATS more accurate to make...

Oh thanks, fixed it. Yeah it is a bit too recent but it fits well - tbh I think the advantages of it fitting the environment well outweight the fact that it was recorded a decade or so too late. It's not like the story follows humanity perfectly - The War wasn't until 2170 so why couldn't they...
