Shacknews Impressions and Vault Dweller's Guide Scans

Hopefully the guide's a sign they're going to do a nice manual like Fallout 1 and 2, as well.

S.T.A.L.K.E.R.: Clear Sky Release Date Announced

Stalker actually has something like 8 endings, most of which were negative and killed your character. Though since Clear Sky is set before the original game, they shouldn't have any affect on it. That's about all I can say without spoiling it, but if you don't mind spoilage...

S.T.A.L.K.E.R.: Clear Sky Release Date Announced

Looking forward to this entirely too much. Oddly enough, one of the things I'm looking forward to are the improved reloading animations. In newest videos I've seen, they look goddamn delicious. One thing that always slightly irritated me in the original. I'm looking at you, MP-5 reloading...

    I mean... Come, on.

    Fallout 3 at LGC: UGO

From looking at that wiki entry and skimming this thread and avoiding spoilery bits, it does sound like a neat encounter. Hopefully the game has more interesting encounters like this, as opposed to the bit silly sounding vampire wanna-be raiders.

    Fallout 3 at LGC: GameSpot

Yeah, it might be scripted like the snipers in Half-Life 2. Hopefully not since it sounds kind of cool, but snipers in games almost always aren't as satisfying as you'd like.

    Ripten interviews Pete Hines

Regarding achievements, assuming you don't look at a cheat sheet online, there actually ARE hidden achievements. Doesn't mean Bethesda will hide them, but the option is there so the developer can hide some of them from the in-game achievement list.

Quite a few, actually. I just rarely post at them.

Tom Chick responds to Wired piece

I really don't see how this is news, especially since it's just a post on a forum for god's sake. Yeah, I don't agree dismissing the article entirely, but the article itself isn't very well done. It talks about the game not feeling right, but doesn't elaborate on the point much. Along the lines...

    More Fallout 3 Gameplay Footage

You guys are missing the most important issue about the movie. Will they make Mysterious Stranger not suck?

Fallout 3 E3 Site found - including new video material

Should (probably) be getting some gameplay footage today (Monday). Just depends on if G4 puts it up on their webpage or however fast someone can youtube it. Also assuming it amounts to anything.

Fallout 3 E3 Site found - including new video material

Y'know, Bethesda is America and NMA (Or "The fans" if you'd prefer) are Nazis in that picture. Y'know. Just sayin'. Y'know. Bit creepy.

    Fallout 3 Post-Apocalyptic Film Festival

Does seem a bit odd that they'd do something as relatively obscure as Wizards but leave Road Warrior out. Then again, odds are more people have already seen that than any of the others, so maybe that's why it was omitted.

    Online distributor GOG announced

Gotta say, CD Projekt just seems to be getting better and better. Admittedly I only know them from The Witcher, but with their support of that and now making a service as cool as this I'm a hell of a lot more inclined to throw money at them. Though sort of unfortunately for them, I'm a...

Fallout 3 in PC Gamer US, Emil & Todd on The Escapist

Re: Fallout 3 in PC Gamer US, Emil & Todd on The Escapis He's PC Gamer's primary RTS guy if I remember right. Why they have him doing the preview and not Desslock, I'm not sure. I don't trust Desslock completely (He really liked Hellgate London, for example) but I'd at least have a better...

Fallout 3 E3 demo on Spike TV

Hopefully moreso than when Obsidian tried to tie NWN2 to BG2, MotB to PS:T, and (Assuming it's nowhere near them, which is a safe bet judging the last two games) Storm of Zehir to Fallout and Darklands in various previews/reviews. And Bethesda and Fallout 3 to Fallout. AM I RIGHT FELLAS...

    Bethesda's Fan Interview #2

Saying ammo has no weight kinda made me sad. I always sort of enjoyed that in the Fallouts, and in Stalker. Not only do you sometimes choose your gun based on the ammo's rarity, but sometimes you don't want a minigun just because lugging around the ammo for it hinders your ability to collect...
