Special Edition dev diary & Survival Edition announced

The clock's pretty cool, but it's just not worth the extra money to me.

Picture of the collector's edition content, clothes coming ?

Actually kinda like that bobblehead more than the original. Still don't really like it, but it's a bit better in my eyes. Lunchbox actually looks kinda cool, even though it's... Even worse than the bobblehead for "Things to put on a shelf and look at occasionally". I dunno. I'm still not sure...

    Gry-Online previews Fallout 3

I think the easy way to explain the radar is call it a gameplay contrivance, like the wireframe models when you do aimed shots in the early games. Does it really make sense that your pipboy can make a 3D model of something you're shooting at, even things it couldn't have known about or had...

Inside the Vault - Dan Teitel

Damn you memory! DAMN YOU! Not sure what I think about that. It doesn't sound nearly as worthless as the lockpicking minigame in Oblivion, but it still seems a bit silly. "Whether or not you can access the terminal to begin with" at least implies the skills will have more impact than in...

Inside the Vault - Dan Teitel

Wait, hacking minigame? First I'd heard of this. I don't like the sound of that. Don't like the sound of it at all, my precious, my love.

Fallout 3: new gameplay footage and hands-on at E3

There's also the possibility that the character they're using for these little demos has blood mess, thus limbs popping off at the drop of a hat.

    History of open-world games

Afterburner Gum was only in Tactics? Huh. Had it in my head it was in FO2 for some reason. IIRC that was the only drug I ever used regularly.

    Bethesda partners with Splash Damage

Pretty awesome I must say. Though I kinda wish they'd lean more Quake-ish or lean more Battlefield-ish. Quake Wars left me with two kinds of blue gaming balls. Fun enough by itself but I kept wanting it to go more one direction or the other.

    Bethesda partners with Splash Damage

That'd be nice. I wouldn't mind a good Terminator game.

    Gamestop pre-order goodies confirmed

You work for that company? Any idea any US retailers/webpages will be selling it? I know GoGamer usually does imports, and if I end up getting excited enough about FO3 to preorder/buy it while the fancy version is still out, sounds like the Polish version would be better.

    Gamestop pre-order goodies confirmed

Yes, yes they do. Kinda make me sad if my only option is lunchbox and bobblehead. Sort of hope it'll end up for import on GoGamer, like The Witcher. That'd be a much cooler goodie pile.

    Gamestop pre-order goodies confirmed

If you were already planning on buying the game, it's free. The $5-10 you put down for the preorder and goodies knocks $5-10 off the game when you pick it up.

    Gamestop pre-order goodies confirmed

I most likely will. I'm not really locked in either direction until I hear some previews with more solid substance and/or some reviews, but I'm leaning towards buy. IRT Brother None Yeah, if it's just that BoS picture I wouldn't be too thrilled. It's ok, but not special enough to make me...

    Gamestop pre-order goodies confirmed

It'd be more interested in what the poster looks like. Most likely (If it works like Morrowind and Oblivion) the game's soundtrack will be in .mp3s, so a mini-soundtrack ahead of time is no big deal to me. A neat looking Fallout poster though...

New dev diary on Fallout 3 site

Wow, love the concept art. 'course, games are never as pretty as their concept art, but I still like a good deal of it. The differing mutant sizes in the bottom of http://fallout.bethsoft.com/images/art/fallout3concept/concept14B.jpg that picture makes me wonder if they'll have the stupider...

    Game Informer interviews Todd Howard

Oblivion's stealth was pretty decent, and like everything else in the game, can be made better with mods. There's a particularly cool mod called "Thieves' arsenal" I think it was, that adds items from the Thief series. Gas arrows, climbable rope arrows, a blackjack, water arrows that can knock...

Inside the Vault - Emil Pagliarulo

Yeah, I agree with that. I understand that one reason they might hold back on information is that they're still likely messing with things. Like recently in some preview or another it was mentioned power armor helmets reduce perception, and they said that they were still working on it, so it...

    More from CanardPC

Yeah, the missions on the whole have been much better. Haven't hit one yet that I repeatedly fail, unlike the goddamn flying missions in San Andreas. Best one yet is probably very minor spoiler: The bank robbery. Some pretty amusing writing during that one, and the big escape was a hell of a lot...

Inon Zur Officially Announced as Fallout 3 Composer

Sounds fairly decent to me. To be honest, I only really remembered a few tracks from the originals, the rest were just background noise to me. Kinda looks like it'll be the case here too.

I'm posting to scribble my name on Bodybag's big GTA4 post. The more I play of it the more I enjoy it. In fact, I'll copy-paste a couple of my little GTA4 stories I scribbled down elsewhere. Cool stupid thing I did earlier, went and played a game of pool to check it out. After the game was...
