Fallout 2 Restoration Project 2.3.2 (Unofficial Expansion)

Popping back in again. I still haven't forgotten about another update (2.3.3) nor forgotten about finally getting the RP source files out to everyone. Sadly I've been sick recently and preoccupied with life. As always, hopefully issues are being posted to the bug wiki, but I'll of course still...

Fallout 2 Restoration Project 2.3.2 (Unofficial Expansion)

Hey everyone. I'm back from my work travels, etc. I still need to catch up on what all I missed over the last 2 weeks here and over at the wiki. I'm still planning on releasing another update soon, as well as finally get source files out to everyone.

I did indeed create them. Hmm, I don't recall whether I tried deleting and recreating them. It's more like the engine is trying to reference a non-existent entry. I'm suspicious because the first script with this problem is the next script entry that is allowable thanks to sfall extending the...

Fallout 2 Restoration Project 2.3.2 (Unofficial Expansion)

Yeah, there are sadly 2-3 scripts in the game that have hardcoded text. They are all at the EPA. For some reason if you point to those scripts' message files, the game displays "ERROR". This issue has been there since the EPA was first introduced in the RP and I've looked into it on more than...

Fallout 2 Restoration Project 2.3.2 (Unofficial Expansion)

Poking back in after a week away from Fallout. I hope the issues reported in the last few pages have made it to the wiki - I haven't looked there recently. Promised source code to the RP and UP is still upcoming. I'll maybe try and have things wrapped up by the end of the month, which also...

Fallout 2 Restoration Project 2.3.2 (Unofficial Expansion)

Based on the wiki I wouldn't say there have been any serious bugs reported for the current release. Sure there's the crash bug at the Vault Village, but it's not guaranteed and seems to be more common when one takes the evil path anyway. Anyway, thanks for playing and keep us posted.

Either email me (address in readme) or preferably upload them somewhere online and then post to the wiki.

Fallout 2 Restoration Project 2.3.2 (Unofficial Expansion)

@ everyone currently doing a playthrough and reporting to the wiki I plan to release source files soon and while I'm at it, I'll release another update to squash any issues posted. So if you're playing, keep reporting and post here when you're done. It seems there are 3-4 of you actively...

Fallout 2 Restoration Project 2.3.2 (Unofficial Expansion)

So, this is the first line of the FAQ in the readme: Q: Do I need to install the official 1.02 patch or your unofficial patch as well? A: No. All the fixes found in the official and unofficial patch are already included. And in the first topic of this thread I do say to only install the RP and...

Fallout 2 Restoration Project 2.3.2 (Unofficial Expansion)

Bear Dude gets sad when people don't read the docs or hell, even the first post of his threads. I'm not singling you out, you are just one of many who asked something that can already be answered. We're cool. Unless save games are provided, there's a slim chance I look into the issue...

Heh, I love old games. From the looks of the pic, you could fit a tank through that door but yet, one lone man blocks the only usable hex. But yes, do what NovaRain said. The key is to rest ON that map, rather than leave for weeks and then come back.

Fallout 2 Restoration Project 2.3.2 (Unofficial Expansion)

I do try and probably too much. You Fallout fans are truly quite the unique bunch. ;) And to prove my first point, @Makenshi I'll see if I can throw something together. I'll spend like 5 minutes and it'll totally be up to you. If you're game starts crashing to hell, the ball's in your...

That's how it used to be, but see what NovaRain said. Sorry, man, I just can't support everything.

Well, you'd have to get the sound from F1, since I don't believe it's included in F2. It's certainly doable, but yeah sorry, I'm not giving support in this area.

It seemed to be causing crashes for people so it was pulled.

Nope, she's dancing in the tribal appearance. It's more "revealing", which is why I chose that.

Was it that way in vanilla? Heh, :look: yeah, wig. Red head came long after. Same with blondie. But yeah, this is an oversight. However, we'll say it's a wig. Sounds a bit illogical but certainly vanilla behavior. Many situations like this exist. So, no bug. Could you try again or someone...

How are you seeing these scripts? Did you just decompile it into text? Also, what happens if you do remove those scripts? Does the crashing stop?

Fallout 2 Restoration Project 2.3.2 (Unofficial Expansion)

But did you wipe out the Village? I'm not sure yet if it's something to do with that. The fact that the crash is linked to companions though is suspicious. Especially since he shouldn't be able to have as many has he does...
