    It wasn't "literally" instant at all, nowhere does anyone say that the soldiers in searchlight were transformed instantaneously. It could have taken days or even weeks to happen, we don't really know for sure

    Some of NV's weapons were perhaps a bit boring, but honestly it's a lot better then Bethesda's frakenguns. I'd kind of rather devs just copy existing guns then try to make new ones, unless of course they could get whoever designed the guns in Metro 2033 and Last Light

    The weight of the weapons seems to reflect their bulky design. Maybe it's just because I've upgraded it, but my combat rifle weighs like 16 pounds. That's almost two times as heavy as an FAL, which is considered quite cumbersome and almost as heavy as an (unloaded) M249/FN Minmi
